It has taken most of a season, but Gary Kubiak thinks the Houston Texans finally caught a lucky break with an injury. Receiver Andre Johnson, who pulled up lame in Sunday's win over the Atlanta Falcons, is day-to-day with a hamstring injury, Kubiak said. "It is a mild hamstring, so we're very fortunate," Kubiak said. "We do expect him back and hopefully sooner than later. Today, we feel very fortunate." Johnson missed six weeks with an injury to his right hamstring earlier this year, and only returned from that injury last week. This injury is to his right hamstring and should have him back on the field this week or next. The way the Texans' season has gone, that qualifies as a lucky break. Beside the other Johnson injury, Houston has lost its top two quarterbacks, defensive end Mario Williams and now punter Brett Hartman, for the season. Hartman tore his ACL Sunday. Johnson accounted for about a third of the Texans' offense Sunday, catching four passes for 97 yards before pulling up and collapsing on a deep ball, sending a loud groan through the stands at Reliant Stadium. Houston nonetheless finished off the Falcons without him, which has become a theme. Houston is 9-3 and leads the AFC playoff race. "That's the story of our season," offensive tackle Duane Brown said. "At this point, you really don't focus on it too much. You hate to see guys go down, but we knew we've got to keep this thing going." Without Johnson, who was injured for the first time against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 2, Houston went 4-2. They have won six in a row. With Johnson in the lineup, Houston is 5-1. Johnson has 31 catches for 471 yards and two touchdowns this year.
