The Texans have lost assistant offensive line coach Bruce Matthews to the Titans. After retiring as a player, Matthews joined the Texans in 2010 to begin his coaching career. Even though the running game vastly improved when Matthews joined the Texans, it’s unlikely that Matthews had very much of an impact. Matthews was merely the lowest ranked assistant coach last season.
Matthews will go to Tennessee to join his close friend Mike Munchak who was just hired as the Titans next head coach.
Also on the Titans radar is former Texans defensive coordinator Frank Bush. The Titans will look to hire him as their linebackers coach.
