The Houston Texans and Chicago Bears highlight this week's slate of games, the two teams sport identical 7-1 records, but the Bears do have the advantage of hosting at Soldier Field.
Not only do the Texans have to face a Bears team with, arguably, the league's most dynamic defense, but Houston has to deal with the Chicago weather.
Temperatures are predicted to drop into the 30's with rain showers for the 8:20 p.m. kickoff. The weather in Houston still provides comfortable summer-like days.
"You've got to handle it," coach Gary Kubiak told the Houston Chronicle. "I think our guys get excited for a little cool weather. It's still 80 degrees out there today and, here it is, the middle of November."
Weather always brings up the issue of ball protection. And the Bears lead the league with 28 takeaways, the Texans have a league-low six giveaways. Source: NFL.com Attached Thumbnails

CHICAGO (AP) -- Bears star cornerback Charles Tillman is active for Sunday's game against Houston, while Texans tight end Owen Daniels is out because of a back injury.

Jay Cutler is concussed and will miss the second half against the Texans; but the diagnosis comes late
Jay Cutler left the game against Houston at halftime having also been diagnosed with a concussion, but, for me the issue poses a bigger question than whether or not Jason Campbell can do enough to lead the Bears to victory (I'd suggest it just got quite a bit harder for them). The question is why wasn't a concussion test administered on Cutler before he went to the locker...

Houston Texans come on strong in 2nd half to beat Bills 21-9
Coming off their bye week the Houston Texans defeated the Buffalo Bills 21-9 in what was mostly a one sided affair on Sunday October 4th at Reliant Stadium. The Texans moved a record of 7-1 with the win in which all 3 of the Texans big offensive weapons had pretty good games against a lacking defensive attack from the Bills.
QB Matt Schaub had another stellar game staying clean most...
Zeoli's Bears vs. Texans Game Preview
The Bears cruised into the 2012 season’s halfway point by utterly eviscerating the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, 51-20. Titans fans came to watch a football game, and were instead treated to ritual sacrifice.

Chicago Bears, Not 49ers or Falcons, Are NFC's Best Team
Right now the Chicago Bears are the best team in the NFC. The Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers fans will disagree but right now they are wrong! Both of those teams have been very impressive in the first half of the season, but they do not have the X-factors that the Bears do. Not to mention when the Bears and 49ers play a week from this coming Monday the Bears will show...
