Texans Release OT Ephraim Salaam, Waive LB David Dixon

The Houston Texans have released veteran offensive tackle Ephraim Salaam and placed linebacker David Nixon on waivers. The Texans got tackle Duane Brown back from a four-game suspension. Late last season, Salaam was added as a precautionary measure when offensive tackle Duane Brown was dealing with a knee injury. Salaam, 34, had a previous two-year stint with the Texans. He was cut by the Detroit Lions last season.
