JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars game-planned to take Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson out of the equation. But that left a lot of other opportunities and running backs Arian Foster and Ben Tate made the most of them. The Texans built a 17-0 halftime lead, with Foster and Tate each scoring a touchdown, and went on to beat the Jaguars 27-7 Sunday in front of 62,907 at EverBank Field. Houston (2-0) is the only unbeaten team in the AFC South after just two weeks. Foster rushed for 110 yards on a workload of 28 carries, just four days after he missed practice with the flu. He passed Dominic Williams as the all-time leading rusher in Texans history with 3,176 yards. Tate came off the bench to gain 74 yards on 12 carries, and added another short TD run in the third period that capped a 17-play, 80-yard drive to answer Jacksonville's only touchdown. Quarterback Matt Schaub (26-of-35 passing for 195 yards) -- operating more from the no-huddle and with...

Arian Foster elevates the Texans rushing offense

Arian Foster elevates the Houston Texans zone blocking scheme, but everyone wants to criticize how much he really contributes to the system. The zone blocking scheme implemented by the Houston Texans offense is a system that is more driven by the play of the offensive line than the running back, but Arian Foster has made the system work to its highest potential. Most running backs...

Houston Texans “Run” through Jacksonville and the Jaguars

Texans QB Matt Schaub delivering a pass during the 27-7 win over the Jags. A week after beating the Miami Dolphins 30-10, the Houston Texans set their sights on the Jacksonville Jaguars. After the win against the Dolphins and 2 TD’s from RB Arian Foster head coach Gary Kubiak still wasn’t happy with the running game. He made that apparent with his comments after the game: ...

Ben Tate Collects Two Touchdowns vs. Jaguars

Texans running back Ben Tate carried 12 times for 74 yards and two touchdowns Sunday against the Jaguars after not being involved much in Week 1. Tate only had five carries for six yards last week.Fantasy Spin:Tate is going to be a risky week-to-week play because you can't predict how much Houston will use him in any particular game but his potential for RB1 numbers makes him...

Texans' Ground Attack Plows Through Jaguars

The Texans got Ben Tate more involved in Week 2 but that didn't mean Arian Foster was going to be utilized less. Foster carried the ball 28 times for 110 yards and a touchdown Sunday against Jacksonville.Fantasy Spin:Foster also caught six passes for 37 yards. The running back is the epicenter of Houston's run-first offense and should continue to be among the best players...

Jaguars Player Forced to Tackle Fan on Field During Game Because Security Guards are Too Lazy (Video)

The Jacksonville Jaguars were having trouble tackling Texans running back Arian Foster throughout the day on Sunday. The frustration boiled over so much that one Jags player even resorted to tackling a fan. Alright, so the incident doesn't go down exactly like that, but in hindsight it was one of the only times Jags defenders were able to track down an opponent on the afternoon...

Replacement Officials Are Blowing Even More Calls

While the Houston Texans took on the Jacksonville Jaguars, a run by Ben Tate was called a touchdown on the field and then overturned. It looked pretty obvious that Tate was in the end zone. Arian Foster ended up getting the touchdown and it didn’t matter for the team but it matters for those of us who play fantasy football. I’ll take those points from Arian Foster.  JUMP! Have...

Houston Texans take down Jacksonville Jaguars 27-7 behind defense, run game

For the second week in a row, the Houston Texans won in convincing manner as they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-7 in Jacksonville. Unlike week one however, the Texans dominated from the start and left no doubt as to their superiority over their AFC South rival.  The big stories from week two for the Texans was the reemergence of their rushing attack and their record setting...

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Week 2 Preview

Arian Foster was not fully healthy heading into last week’s game against the Miami Dolphins, and yet he found paydirt on two separate occasions. The key was the ability of Matt Schaub to dissect a Miami defense that has struggled in the past against solid receivers. Andre Johnson would fit the bill as he redeemed himself after all of the previous injuries he has gone through. Johnson...
