Found July 22, 2013 on NFL Trade Rumors:
John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reported on Twitter Monday morning that the Houston Texans signed the 27th overall pick in this year’s draft, DeAndre Hopkins, to a four year deal. Per McClain, the deal is worth $7.62 million with a $3.92 million signing bonus. What’s more, the first 3 years are guaranteed. The former Clemson wideout will look to complement Andre Johnson in the Texans high scoring offense. If Hopkins can take some pressure off of Johnson by attracting defenders, it would pave the way for fewer interceptions and more unpredictability. In his final collegiate season, Hopkins put up some incredible stats. He caught 82 passes for 1,405 yards and found the endzone a remarkable 18 times.
