NFL Injury Report:
Houston Texans wide receiver DeVier Posey suffered a torn
Achilles tendon during yesterday’s loss to the New England Patriots, an injury
that could keep him out through the mid-way point of next season, according to
John McClain of The Houston Chronicle.
A WR like DeVier Posey has to run and cut, so I'm guessing he won't be back before the midway point of next season, if that early.
— John McClain (@McClain_on_NFL) January 14, 2013
Posey had to be carted off the field after sustaining the
injury. He confirmed its severity following the game, adding that it felt like
he “got shot.”
The Texans selected Posey in the third round of the 2012 NFL
Draft. He got off to a slow start this season, but he had come on of late and
had three catches for 47 yards and a touchdown against the Patriots before
suffering his injury.
Posey will undergo surgery to repair his torn Achilles,
which could certainly impact his 2013 season. McClain adds that the Texans
could look to draft another wide receiver high this spring considering they
could be without Posey for much of 2013.

The 2012 season is over for the Houston Texans, and now we look onto the potential 2013 Houston Texans roster changes. The Texans will be tipping their ten gallon hats to potentially 17 players this offseason. The first person to mention who may be gone in 2013 and the most important is outside linebacker Connor Barwin. Barwin’s numbers are slightly down from 2011, but he has been...
Houston Texans receiver DeVier Posey suffered a torn Achilles tendon in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots, the Houston Chronicle reported. "It felt like I got shot. I've never felt anything like it," Posey told the Chronicle. A torn Achilles is a serious injury that will require surgery, and it is uncertain whether he will be ready for the start of...
Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak wants everyone to know that there will not a quarterback competition come next season. Matt Schaub is their unquestioned QB.
"I believe in Matt. He's the quarterback of our football team. I've got no doubt about him," Kubiak said Monday via Tania Ganulia of the Houston Chronicle.
J.J. Watt is also leading the charge in...
Yesterday Houston Texans All Pro defensive end J.J. Watt made headlines when he was seen spitting on the Patriots logo at midfield and stomping on it.
After the game, Watt had a pretty good explanation for his perceived disrespect to the Patriots logo. Pro Football Talk is reporting that Watt told Comcast Sports Net that before every game home or away, he goes to midfield, and...
After another game in Foxboro, which pretty much had the same outcome, the Houston Texans are headed home in the second round of the playoffs for the second consecutive year. I’ve said time and time again that if you don’t get at least one step further than the year prior, the season was a disappointment.
I realize it’s rough to call a team that was 11-1 just under a couple...
The Houston Texans are in one of the rarest positions in sports. They are good, but not good enough. They need to get better, but they can't make any big changes.
As Texans' seasons have gone from being about just making the playoffs to being about winning the Super Bowl, the Texans have experienced the magnifying effects of success and expectation. Rapidly, the answer...

The Houston Texans vowed this game would be different than their embarrassing, 28-point loss to the Patriots in the regular season.
Only the margin of victory changed.
The Texans mounted enough offense to avert a repeat of the Dec. 10 blowout that signaled they weren't ready to compete with the defending AFC champions. With a second chance and a spot in the conference title...
Despite it coming in a losing effort, Arian Foster had a big day against the Patriots in Sunday's Divisional Round contest. The Texans' perennial Pro Bowl running back totaled 163 yards and two touchdowns, accounting for most of Houston's offense.
The performance didn't go unnoticed.
Following his team's 41-28 victory, Patriots owner Robert Kraft stuck around...
The game is over and our beloved team got served once again. The New England Patriots came into the matchup with a game plan that was scrapped and still managed to hang 41 points. After watching this game so many questions come to mind and major concerns going forward. In this final article let’s look at some of the concerns going into the offseason.

The game script was supposed to be like the last one -- Houston shows up, New England dominates them at home. At times the game did feel like the Pats were rolling the Texans, but most of the time it seemed like an act of futility.A lot of sound and fury signifying nothing. The only time it really felt like The Texans were in it was the end of the half when Shane Graham's 55...
