Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson will miss his sixth straight contest when he sits out Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Texans are being extremely cautious with Johnson, who has been sidelined since Week 4 with a hamstring injury. The five-time Pro Bowl selection was able to run on a separate field on Friday, with coach Gary Kubiak insisting that Johnson is close to returning.
The 30-year-old superstar underwent surgery to repair his hamstring. Johnson said he was at 70-75 percent prior to to having a setback last week.
Johnson has 25 catches for 352 yards and two touchdowns in four games this season for Houston, which has a bye next week before returning to face the AFC South rival Jacksonville Jaguars.
