Growing up in San Antonio, I have been more-or-less conditioned into being a Cowboys fan. It wasn’t something I chose per say, it was something that was bestowed upon me. As great as that has been at times, recently I have found myself in situations like the one I faced the other day when a friend asked:“Why are you a Cowboys fan? The Texans are better and Houston is closer to San Antonio than Dallas is. The Cowboys can’t even make the playoffs.”It wasn’t the first time I’ve been asked this, and I’m sure it won’t be the last, but as the salt dissolved into the fresh and gaping wound that was Tony Romo’s 4th quarter interception against the Redskins in week 17, I decided to take a stand. I looked the man right in the eyes and I told him…“I’m going to write an article about this.”And I did write it. This is it. My attempt to defend my stance as a Cowboys fan. A desperate overture to those of you who may, like myself, be staring longingly over the fence that separates the barren wastela

The Dallas Stars aren’t taking any prisoners in an intracity squabble between the hockey team and their football counterpart in the heart of Texas. Tony Romo starts his indoor soccer season

And so it begins. Tony Romo’s indoor soccer season got started this week at American Indoor Soccer in Carrollton, Texas during the Tuesday night league. It’s not like the Cowboys quarterback has anything else going on. It seems that cracked rib suffered in the Redskins loss is healing nicely. You might remember last year when we kept tabs on Romo’s indoor soccer career and...

The Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Stars engaged in an extremely brief, yet extremely amusing battle on Twitter in an exchange that would have made most grade school students proud.
