Football Extra Points:
The 49ers have the best defense in the league. They have a very good RB, a good TE, average WR's and an average QB. The last one is the biggest concern for this team however, their defense is so good it shouldn't stop them from going far this season.
Here's a look at their remaining schedule, predictions and a look at their division.
@ Az - Win
St. Louis - Win
Chicago - Win, because they're at home.
@ New Orleans - Win, 49ers defense too much for Brees.
@ St. Louis - Win
Miami - Win
@ New England - Loss. If it was in San Fran I'd think differently.
@ Seattle - Win.
Arizona - Win
Before the season started I predicted that San Francisco would win the NFC and the Super Bowl. I think they go 13-3 this season. Alex Smith has played well enough for me to keep them in the Super Bowl. I'm going to stay with them to win the Super Bowl but, I'm leaning toward picking Houston. I'll stay with San Fran for now.
BEST OF MAXIM
San Francisco safety Dashon Goldson plays the game with a physicality that endears him to 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh. "He's got a real toughness about him," Harbaugh said. "He's built up a real callus when it comes to physical-contact courage. the going from point A to point B, and go hit somebody. ... "So far this year we've seen some of the best...
San Francisco 49ers safety Dashon Goldson established what would become a Pro Bowl career against the Arizona Cardinals. In 2009, Goldson's first-year as a starter, he forced two fumbles and intercepted a Kurt Warner pass as the 49ers beat the Cardinals 24-9 in a Monday night game. He'll face the Cardinals again Monday when the 49ers play in Arizona. Last year, two of...
(Eds: APNewsNow. With AP Photos.) The San Francisco 49ers are beating up opponents with a power rushing attack, and nobody's enjoying it more than the big bodies leading the way up front.
A physical offensive line featuring 2010 first-round draft picks Mike Iupati and Anthony Davis has established itself as a force in the trenches, opening holes for a ground game that ranks...
As far back as week 5, the San Francisco 49ers (5-2) and Arizona Cardinals (4-3) topped the critic’s lists of buy or sells. Though the 49ers dipped slightly after a tough loss to the New York Giants, growing expectations again commence with the team considered in the top-three in the National Football League according to many power rankings. On the other hand, the downward spiral...
The 49ers travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals in primetime. I kinda feel sorry for the Cardinals this week, because I have a feeling they are going to get a beatdown. The 49ers in primetime never bodes well for their opponent.
The 49ers sit at 5-2 and the Cards at 4-3. A victory of the Cardinals will give them four losses in a row, which shows that their 4-0 start was nothing...
