Ryan looks comfortable in the new system and really should thrive, especially when he has receivers Roddy White and Julio Jones on the outside. Ryan also has Tony Gonzalez to turn to, which has been a reliable ta...

Ryan with 4 TDs as Falcons beat Chiefs 40-24

The Chiefs were without their best pass rusher, their top coverage cornerback, a stalwart on the defensive line and a reliable safety who hardly ever misses a game. Tough way to face the potent Atlanta Falcons in the season opener. The rag-tag Kansas City defense couldn't slow down Matt Ryan and Co. on Sunday, and the Chiefs offense couldn't keep up. The result was a 40...

Atlanta Falcons vs. Kansas City Chiefs: Five Things We Learned

The Chiefs and Falcons both enter the 2012 season with aspirations of a division title, and potentially, a game in February.  Atlanta comes into the season as one of the most frustrating teams in the NFC, as they have had plenty of success during the regualr season under quarterback Matt Ryan, only to see those seasons come to frustrating ends in the postseason.  Ryan, in fact...

Gonzalez makes winning return to Arrowhead

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) The best assist that Matt Ryan dished out Sunday wasn't one of the two touchdown throws to Julio Jones, or even his pass that found Tony Gonzalez for a third-quarter touchdown. It was after Gonzalez had scored, when Ryan picked up a loose ball rolling around in the end zone. The Falcons quarterback ran over to Gonzalez, shoved it into his arms and told...

The Friday Blitz: Falcons/Chiefs Edition

Alright Falcon fans, here we go! I know it has been a few weeks, but I am ready to hit the ground running. My thoughts on the preseason are irrelevant, because I do not put much stock in anything I saw. I witnessed our new coordinators showing off some new schemes, but overall I was not floored. I am extremely optimistic this season because I cannot foresee a scenario in-which...

2012 NFL Season Predictions Part 3: Playoffs and Awards

With the playoff scenario that has been predicted in the previous two articles, I could easily see the 2011 top two AFC seeds progressing once again in 2012 to the conference championship game. However while that contest was held in New England, this year would see Baltimore host the game. Home field advantage is a big factor in the outcome of a game, and in 2012, the Baltimore...
