With the end of the season for the Atlanta Falcons unfortunately here, the team needs to turn their attention to what they will do this offseason. There are some big time names on the market, and the team is already very good as it is, but obviously some improvements needs to be made. The offensive line struggled to get any push in their playoff loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Former first-round pick Luke Joeckel is available this offseason, and he could be a fit for the team to help improve the line.

Joeckel was pretty solid on the offensive last season for the Seattle Seahawks, and he could be an option to help improve the Atlanta line. He started 11 games for the Seahawks last season, after only starting four the prior season due to injury. Joeckel was drafted as a left tackle out of college, and has since moved around the line, so he represents versatility for the Falcons if they have to move him. Joeckel will likely not command much money in the offseason, so the team should use some of their cap room on him in order to shore up the offensive line. He will not be a perfect fix for the line, but he will definitely help the team. The Falcons need to do something to add to the line because they really put on a bad show in that playoff loss.

The Atlanta Falcons need to make some sort of a move in the offseason, and adding Joeckel to the squad is a good place to start. The team has the cap space to add him, and they could add in some bonuses if he reaches landmarks such as games played. Hopefully the Falcons do something this offseason so that they can help put together a better product on the field next year.
