Editor’s note: Bryan and his wife had their second child this week! Knowing that will increase your comprehension of his intro. And the fact that he wrote this from the hospital … DEDICATION, PEOPLE! I’ll be honest, I haven’t typed extensively on my iPhone before this. It isn’t easy. Also, the hospital I’m staying in has wifi that blocks gambling sites. I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware this hospital wasn’t located in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! At least I have a couch to sleep on that’s my size. The first time I used two chairs. It was in-humane. However, I do picture that as the preferred sleeping method for Norv Turner. The hospital vending machines only have health food in them. If this is the future, count me out. Interesting lines this week with a lot of the better teams as 3.5-4.5 point favorites on the road. That’s a trap number usually and I’m laying off teams like New Orleans and Green Bay. They have interesting games but I think they split but can’t decide which is which. This is going to be a good group of winners this week, I like these lines. And I don’t say that to all the gals. On to the picks! Last week (6-5) Miami +2.5 vs. Bills – I’ve got to start winning some Thursday/Monday night games. I actually think this will be a good game. Not sure what to do about Reggie Bush in fantasy though, he should be doing more. Stop fumbling the ball so I can start you with confidence. New England -9 vs. Colts – This will be the blowout everyone was expecting last week, however the Bills always are up for their divisional foes so it never came to fruition for the Pats. Indy has looked good on the road once, at Jacksonville. Enough said. Arizona +9 vs. Falcons – In my head I picture a close game followed by Skip Bayless asking what is wrong in Atlanta and should the Falcons trade for Tebow? Actually, he’ll bring that up regardless of score, probably. Carolina +1.5 vs. Tampa Bay – This one makes a lot of sense. On paper. The time is right for Cam to make a stand and the Bucs to stop their covering streak. Cincinnati -3.5 vs. Chiefs – This is a relatively low line against a terrible team like the Chiefs. I’ll test the water even on the road. Also, Kansas city BBQ is overrated. Baltimore -3.5 vs. Steelers – I hate taking the Ravens on the road as a favorite but I have to give this a shot. I watched The Ben-less black & gold and it was horrifying to watch. This one just looks too obvious for my liking. San Diego +7.5 vs. Broncos – I love Denver more than anyone, but they can’t cover forever. I look for the Chargers to give everything they can in this last matchup to try and get a closer division race. Of course, if it’s Denver 50-0 I wouldn’t complain much. St. Louis -3.5 vs. Jets – I see no reason to stop fading the J E T S anytime soon. They are a dumpster fire. The Rams are a team on the rise and played a much more physical team last week.
