EaglesFanCast:
The Philadelphia Eagles fall to a horrendous 4-8 on the season after a 31-14 embarrassing loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Ironically enough the Eagles are NOT mathematically eliminated from the playoffs yet, as all three of the other NFC East teams, the Cowboys, Giants and Redskins all lost this weekend. To talk about this hapless division in the NFL, we have Jimmy Klempski from Blogging the Beast on the show. Jimmy is also a contributor to Bleeding Green Nation. We talk about the continued demise of this Eagles team, where some of the blame lies, and how the team needs to approach things heading out of this season. But wait! Despite the fact that the NFL Draft is even discussed at one point, there are still four regular season games left to play. This week is the Miami Dolphins, but do we dare even think about the possibility of things turning around for the Eagles, or are they too far gone at this point?

The Philadelphia Eagles sign safety Tom Nelson
The Eagles have signed 25-year old safety Tom Nelson. Nelson played in 8 games for the Bengals last year and he had 9 tackles. He has now played in 20 games in his first two years in the NFL and he has 34 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 1 interception. Nelson will likely replace Colt Anderson on special teams. Unlike Anderson, Nelson could be able to help on defense if he...

Philly Eagles controversial receiver DeSean Jackson spent a night with R&B singer Mya. Mya accompanied Jackson to the Philadelphia Sports Fans Choice Awards at the Radisson Warwick. “No comment,” said Jackson’s spokesman Bobby McRae when asked if he was dating Mya. DeSean Jackson Should Have Held Out This Season
People can call him disrespectful for missing practice, they can label him a trouble-maker for celebrating too much on the field, they can even say he's afraid to take a hit, but the truth of the matter is he shouldn't have even suited up for the Eagles.
Trent Cole Fined by NFL for Okung Flip (With Video)

Week 13 Fantasy Football Recap: Eagles vs. Seahawks
Philadelphia Eagles – 14, Seattle Seahawks – 31
So much for any post-season hope the Eagles were clinging to, as the Eagles players can now start making plans for January that don’t include football. Vince Young (240 total yards, 1 TD, 4 INTs) was terrible, throwing four picks including a pick six that he had no business throwing in the first place. Vick will...
Trent Cole’s light fine furthers inconsistencies of NFL’s disciplinary arm
The NFL's fine structure can be capricious at best, and ridiculous at worst. Players can be fined $10,000 for wearing the wrong color clothing or shoe, and less for obvious violations of the league's on-field player safety policies. Because, as much as the NFL's head office claims to care about player safety, the governing body run by Ray Anderson and Merton Hanks, and...

Trent Cole fined $7,500 for hit that ended Russell Okung’s season
Philadelphia defensive end Trent Cole knocked Seattle tackle Russel Okung to the ground on Thursday night with a hit that the Seahawks felt was unnecessary. That hit caused a pectoral injury that ended Okung’s season, and now Cole has heard from the league office about it. Cole told Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer that…
