BC reader Ken M. sent this over without context. We’ll assume this was at a Seattle bar because the Marshawn Lynch costume outside of Washington just doesn’t play very well. We also heard from BC reader Michael R. who wanted us to see a photo of his friend dressed as Sandusky at a party in Columbus. Yes, it just happened that Ohio State played the Nittany Lions on Saturday night, the obvious bar night for Halloween costumes. Do you have a Jerry Sandusky costume that you’re proud of and think it needs to be appreciated by other Halloween costume enthusiasts? Send it. mail@bustedcoverage.com   Filed under: Football

Pete Carroll says Seahawks are close to 8-0

At 4-4, the Seattle Seahawks are only a .500 team halfway through the season. They have fielded a much better defense than people expected and rookie 3rd round quarterback Russell Wilson has had them in almost all of their games. Their head coach believes they are much better than what their record indicates. Per 710 AM in Seattle: Carroll was quoted as saying, “It...

Seattle Seahawks: Week 9 NFL Power Rankings (#14)

Last week: 14 (-0) Record: 4-4 No the sky is not falling with this team. They just went on the road for 2 games. Everything will be fine this week when the play the Vikings back in Seattle, where they play 5 of their final 8 games. They’ll still be right in the NFC playoff mix, but they will have to win 1 more road game. 9 wins probably won’t cut it in the NFC and that’s assuming...

Peterson, Lynch provide quite the comparisons

The top two running backs in the league will be on the same field Sunday. But the comparisons between Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch go far beyond this season’s yardage totals. See how similar they are and what the Vikings had to say about Lynch.

Moments in time…The Seattle Seahawks week that was

Yet another close one goes array Too many times this year, the Seahawks have come up just short, we’re talking within a touchdown of a victory. Is it any coincidence that these games all have taken place on the road? This team has been absolutely amazing at home since moving into their new digs at CenturyLink Field, and yet, this same team just can’t seem to find a niche for...

Healthy Rice could mean trouble for Vikings

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. The Minnesota Vikings understand the tease with Seattle Seahawks receiver Sidney Rice very well from his first four years in the league. In the past two years, Seattle has learned quickly that Rice can be one of the NFL's best wide receivers, when healthy. That's been the rub for Rice. The talented, 6-foot-4 receiver has played in 16 games only once...

Richard Sherman brags about shutting Calvin Johnson down

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman seemed to have no shortage of confidence all week heading into his matchup with Calvin Johnson and the Detroit Lions. Megatron is probably the most difficult receiver in the game to cover, but Sherman indicated he was up for the task when he changed his Twitter name to something that suited the occasion. The Lions may have come out victorious...

Can the Seahawks ever be road warriors?

As a lifelong Seahawks fan, that question is something I have pondered over and over again.  The answer I come up with is this:  I just do not know, but it is something that must be figured out in order for them to make the leap from pretender to contender. To be considered a legitimate contender, it simply must happen.  No team can win a Super Bowl, let alone a few playoff games...

Seattle, St. Louis Slide Down NFC West Standings In Week 8

The Seahawks let a chance to cure their road woes slip away in Detroit, while the Rams were far from OK in the U.K. on Sunday.

Vikings-Seahawks Preview

The Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks didn't end the first half of the season how they wanted. Both are hoping the second half starts on a positive note Sunday. The Vikings will try to rebound from their most lopsided loss of the year and hand a third consecutive defeat to the Seahawks, who seek their best start at home since 2005. This game features the NFL's top...
