Green Bay Packers
San Francisco 49ers
Packers S M.D. Jennings is one of the new characters in the Packers secondary.
We’ve all sat through a terrible movie before. I’m not talking about a movie where it’s so bad, it’s good. I’m talking about a movie that is just plain bad, even painful.
Watching the Green Bay Packers allow almost 5,000 passing yards last season was like watching a bad movie, for a whopping 17 weeks.
If a director makes one of these terrible movies, he’ll probably try and make some serious changes so his next movie isn’t as bad. Maybe he’ll bring on actors with more experience or a production staff that has a several good movies under their belts.
Not if the director is Ted Thompson.
The Packers GM looked at his flop of a defense and said, “I’m going to go get some guys that have even less experience and are more unproven than they players we had last season.”
Nowhere is that more evident than in the secondary.
Who are these guys?
The Packers first regular season game is only a few days away, but we have...

Green Bay Packer linebackers Clay Matthews and rookie Nick Perry have revived the team's defensive spirit. Packers fans are excited and opposing NFL quarterbacks better beware.
We all love the games, highlight reels, and fantasy football aspect of the NFL.
Truth is the National Football League is a harsh business that can be cold and cruel at times. Green Bay Packers pro bowl wide receiver Greg Jennings is about to go on that trip down the harsh lane.
Jennings recently confessed to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he wouldn’t be surprised...
OL Chris Scott becomes the Packers eighth practice squad member.
According to Packers.com, the Green Bay Packers have finalized their 8-man practice squad. Along with the reported signings of their seven training camp players, the Packers have added OL Chris Scott. He was a fifth round draft pick in 2010 by the Pittsburgh Steelers, though he started out on their practice squad. In...

NFL defenses have learned fast not to mess with NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers.
Now his teammates are learning the same lesson, the hard way.
Just over a week ago, while meeting the media at his locker, Rodgers was attacked by Pro Bowl fullback John Kuhn, who pied Rodgers in the face.
It was later revealed that Kuhn didn't work alone and was...
The strength of the Green Bay Packers 2012 roster seems to be in the offensive receivers. After the final cuts were made the Green Bay Packers had six wide receivers and four tight ends on the 53 man roster. The experience of this group ranges from one rookie to a veteran with 14 years of playing in the NFL.
The wide receivers make up six players on the Green Bay Packer final...
It wouldn't be a Minnesota Vikings' game week without a little Green Bay Packers' bashing, even though we aren't playing them on Sunday. I don't even know who THEY are playing, for that matter. San Francisco?! Boring. Maybe all of the Packers and all of the 49ers should just forfeit the game and spend three hours making out and groping each others' nut cups...
According to Adam Caplan of TheSidelineView.com, the Green Bay Packers have ruled out running back James Starks for week one with a turf toe injury.

It looks like Alex Green will back up Cedric Benson this week.
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Packers had high expectations for Derek Sherrod when the team used its first-round pick on the Mississippi State offensive tackle in the 2011 draft.
But Sherrod's rookie season began without a starting job and ended with a broken leg. He played 115 total plays at left and right tackle as a backup before the injury in Week 15 ended his season early.
It's essentially a one-man backup plan for the Packers. Evan Dietrich-Smith can play center and guard should something happen to the interior starters. If something were to happen at tackle, left guard T.J. Lang would swing outside and Dietrich-Smith would replace Lang.
The San Francisco 49ers probably face their biggest challenge of the season in week one of the regular season when they take on the league favorite Green Bay Packers. That is not to say that many of the other teams that the 49ers face this year aren’t lethal in their own right. The Packers are just a very well rounded and well-coached team that is a perennial favorite year...
Aaron Rodgers is one of 23 first-round draft picks who will be starting at quarterback this week. That list includes all of the NFC North's starters.
The class of the division, the San Francisco 49ers, kick off the season with a showdown at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. If any team can challenge the 49ers, it might be Seattle, with rookie quarterback Russell Wilson.
