Found April 26, 2013 on Cleveland Sports 360:
Pre-draft reports had the Cleveland Browns drafting West Virgina quarterback Geno Smith.  The Browns used their first pick in the draft to help bolster their defense. The Browns passed over Smith with the 6th over-all pick and with good reason. Smith is not a 1st round draft pick. 31 other NFL teams passed over him too. The Browns already made the mistake of wasting a 1st round draft pick in the 2012 NFL draft on a quarterback who didn’t belong in the 1st round of an NFL draft. We all saw how that worked out. Weeden was the worst rookie quarterback taken in the 2012 NFL draft. For the Browns to make the same mistake in back to back NFL drafts, would be a smack in the face to the fans of the Cleveland Browns. Smith is still available in the draft. We don’t know what kind of deals the Browns are making behind closed doors. They currently have no picks in the second round of the draft and we wonder if they are working to acquire a pick in the second round.  Joe Banner in a statement fr...

The Browns have essentially forfeited the 2013 season

Usually we have to wait until late September to officially declare the Cleveland Browns dead in the water, but this year, I think it's safe to make that declaration following the first five rounds of the draft. Despite a completely overhauled and new regime, the same problems the Browns have faced in recent memory will persist. There's still questions at quarterback,...

Browns select DE Barkevious Mingo with the 6th pick

Barkevious Mingo is coming into this NFL draft a little green as he only came to the game of football in his junior year of high school.  Even though he was still new, he earned a 4 Star Rating as he was recruited and accepted a scholarship to play at LSU.  According to his Wikipedia page he got his unusual first name from his mother, as she created a combination of the first three...

The Cleveland Browns let Michael Lombardi out of hiding to hold a press conference on the Davone Bess trade.

For most of the off-season Joe Banner and the Cleveland Browns have kept general manager Michael Lombardi in hiding. Banner said earlier that Lombardi was too much of a lightning rod. The Cleveland media has a field day when they have a chance to pick on Lombardi, most of the Cleveland fan base remembers all too well about Lombardi’s troubled past with the Cleveland Browns. It...

With Their First Pick The Cleveland Browns Select:

Dee Miliner, Alabama. I would like to see the Browns make this pick because it would give them a great one two punch at the corners with Joe Haden. The biggest mistake they could make in my opinion would be to draft any of the quarterbacks that high. We already have a quarterback on the roster that we reached for in Brandon Weeden, there is no need to do it again. By Kevin Clarke...

Barkevious Mingo is a Cleveland Brown

It’s not necessarily the most exciting thing when your team uses the sixth overall pick to take a guy who, according to popular consensus, is the third best player available in a draft at a position. But Barkevious Mingo might be better suited to play 3-4 outside linebacker, as opposed to a 4-3 end, than any of the “edge rusher” prospects in this draft, which would help explain...

The Browns take the “Freak of Nature” with the 6th pick in the NFL draft. Barkevious Mingo

Barkevious Mingo, fell into the laps of the Cleveland Browns with the number 6th pick in the 2013, NFL draft. Joe Banner said, this pick fits into Rob Chudzinski’s “attack even when you don’t have the ball philosophy.” Chudzinski, said Ray Horton also had a hand in this pick. The Browns are planning on keeping Jabaal Sheard, who has proven to the coaching staff, that he could...
