  • Brandon Weeden played like a 28 year old 1st round draft pick, and that’s a compliment. He broke rookie QB passing records, and that list includes Bernie Kosar, Brian Sipe, Otto Graham and Eric Zeier to bring the list and the accomplishment back to reality. I was one of the biggest screamers that if he did not improve he would have to get yanked by week 6.  After a 26-37 322 yds. 70.3 percent of passes and a 114.9 quarterback rating, maybe he has something.

  • Trent Richardson may have just hit the on switch to his NFL career. The game against the Eagles Trent seemed tentative, this game he cut, and he used his compact muscular frame for leverage as he spun his away to passing and rushing TD’s another accomplishment never done by a Browns player.  19 carries for 109 yds. (5.7 average) 1 TD 4 catches 36 yds. 1 TD. This is just the beginning for Trent Richardson; I expect big things from him in the coming games

  • I can say this about the front office, when they said that Mohammad Massaquoi was ready. They were not lying. 5 catches for 90 yards and always seeming to be in the right place at the right time. Greg Little stepped in and made some contributions with 5 catches for 57 yards and a 1 TD. Josh Gordon was nonexistent. Travis Benjamin is a threat on sweeps. But the big question is where is Josh Cribbs?

  • The Cleveland Browns played without Joe Haden or Sheldon Brown in the game and it showed big time. Buster Skrine has no business playing as much as he did in this game. I would rather see Trevin Wade playing in that position. Skrine was bullied and pushed around all game. Skrine and Patterson gave 10 yard cushions all game which allowed for quick slants and a lot of space for running backs to reach the second level. Horrible performance overall from the secondary. To make matters worse is that even with a 10 yard cushion the Browns secondary gave up a lot Big Plays. How does Dimitri Patterson line up off sides twice? TWICE

  • The defensive line is giving some good pressure up front, they were the strength of the team and they really play up to that level. Once Phil Taylor returns this young athletic group is going to be a wrecking crew. I am overly impressed with the Defensive line.

  • The linebackers are suspect, they play respectable but are not fast enough to fill the holes and usually catch the running back 4 yards down field before they can make a tackle, and they usually ride the guy instead of standing him up. Thank Goodness for DQwell Jackson.

  • Special Teams, you are not a threat on kick returns at all. Josh Cribbs you pitty pat your way to the hole. I remember you said to be successful returning kicks you have to run as fast as you can to the hole and use your momentum. You did not do that this game. Did we even get a punt return? The kickoff to start the game is no way to start a game. It killed us, yes we had chances but Cleveland is not good enough to overcome big plays like that.

  • Why is Owen Marecic on this football team? I could not believe I was screaming for Brad Smelley during the game.  At least let Alex Smith play in that package because Owen is horrible. Alex Smith did make some nice catches during the game. Ben Watson was a no show and w here is Jordan Cameron, they hyped this guy all last season and this Training Camp but the guy can’t get on the field

  • Penalties played a big part in the loss, 10 for 103 yards is not the way to be successful in the NFL.  With the score 10-17 Bengals winning, and 3:48 on the clock Brandon Weeden checked down to Chris Ogbonnaya and he fumbled the ball away after a 21 yard gain. Although we did not give up a score, it took away a big play and made it a turnover.

  • I am impressed overall with some of the performance of the team. I can definitely see some improvement, and then there are the areas where I know that no matter what we do as team, there will be no success because of the lack of talent on the team.

  • I really like Dick Jauron as the defensive coordinator. This team needs some free agent spark and two more drafts to get us to Super Bowl caliber, which is where we want to be as a team. If Jimmy Haslam follows the Steelers way and build through the draft, it’s going to take a few years because we need some playmakers and depth badly.
