With Jonathan Taylor sidelined, the Colts had to add a RB for this week, and they elected to elevate Tyler Goodson from their practice squad. Goodson is in his 2nd year in the NFL. He began his career with the Green Bay Packers after signing with them as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He spent the season entirely on their practice squad, which means he will make his NFL regular season debut on Sunday with the Colts. Goodson played his college years at the University of Iowa from 2019-2021. During his three seasons there, he rushed for 2,551 yards on 533 carries for 18 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 70 passes for 565 yards and one touchdown.
The Colts also elevated WR D.J. Montgomery, who started his NFL career in 2019 as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns. Since then, he has spent time with the New York Jets, Houston Texans, and the Colts. He's been active for four games in his NFL career, three with the Jets in 2021 and one with the Colts this season.
