There is a short list of athletes in professional sports that are deemed to be just a little different than the rest. Hockey and soccer goalies, closers in baseball and kickers in the NFL.
All these players that play these positions are regarded differently than their peers in that their entire skill set seems to balance on their mental being. In hockey, the team with the goalie who is on a hot streak is usually the team that makes a run in the playoffs, a run-of-the-mill goalie in soccer could shut out the best team, a closer who knows he can strike out anybody, can, and will. You know the drill.
The catch with these players is that when they have their confidence shaken or are in a funk, then they really lose it all.
Mason Crosby is in a funk, and it is a bad one.
Up until he hit the field goal in the final seconds on Sunday against the Lions, Crosby had missed seven of his last twelve field goal attempts. While it is difficult just by watching him, it looks like Crosby has al...

It was ugly but when it comes to winning division games, the Green Bay Packers will take any kind of victory.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- It may not seem like it from outside the Packers' locker room, but quarterback Aaron Rodgers insists that his relationship with outspoken tight end Jermichael Finley is actually quite strong at the moment.

It wasn't too long ago that the Green Bay Packers were in a bad place, lagging at the bottom of the NFC North with a - gasp! - losing record while folks picked apart their flaws as if they were some sideshow on Dr. Phil.
Well, well. Look at them now.
A five-game winning streak that's tied for best in the NFL has the Packers (7-3) atop their division and in position to start...
Aaron Rodgers is a pretty sensitive guy.
Maybe not quite as sensitive as his interview on “60 Minutes” made him seem, but a caring and compassionate person nonetheless. Rodgers showed off his sensitive side yet again recently, as the Green Bay Packers quarterback teamed up with the MACC — Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer — Fund to help raise awareness for the work...
Enjoy…this one is for you SteveGoat. I am sure Arodge and Coach Mike were way impressed. Seriously?
