Welcome to the Jungle

BenJarvis Green-Ellis

I was really hoping for Mike Bush to land here, but the Bengals got themselves a younger, more solid version of Cedric Benson instead.  The Law Firm may get busy with this team and its run ins with the Po-Pos, but expect BJGE to FINALLY get a real, consistent workload.  The Bengals WANT to run the ball effectively and now have a guy who is not spectacular, but is as effective as a tough inside runner.  I am expecting 300 plus carries and a shot at double digit TDs this season.  Not many RBs get a full workload these days and it’s not out of the question that the Bengals grab a RB in the draft either, but if he’s the man in Cincy I’m on board for him to be a nice RB2.

Tim Tebow

Oh lord (no pun intended), the Jets trade for Tim Teblow to “run” their Wildcat offense.  SERIOUSLY.  Who the f*ck is planning to implement a Wildcat offense in 2012?  Tony Sparano?  I read on twitter that he was a innovative offensive mind.  I think Tony Soprano could run a more innovative offense.  Thing is, the Jets don’t trust Marky Mark Dirty Sanchez and have been trying to bring someone in for when he flops.  But, Tim Tebow?  Sure they guy won some games, but my 9 year old has better throwing mechanics.  I don’t know what to expect this season out of this offense, but I know it will be must watch T.V.  Can we get the Jets on Hard Knocks again?  TT could start at some point if Sanchize has a mental breakdown after ESPN has 24 hour Tebow watch, the fans chant his name at home games, and he gets stuck by a bolt of lightning.  Have fun Jets fans!!  Going to be a wild ride.

Bengals land former Patriots running back Benjarvus Green-Ellis with three year deal

The Cincinnati Bengals agreed to a 3 year deal terms have not been released. Green-Ellis assumed the starting halfback position in 2010 where he gained over 1,000 yards. Green-Ellis’s 2011 campaign didn’t produce as many yards but he excelled in short yardage situations. A four year veteran Green-Ellis has never fumbled in his NFL career (536 carries and catches) and proved...

AP source: Bengals reach deal with Green-Ellis

A person familiar with the negotiations says former Patriots running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis has agreed to a deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, who need someone to replace Cedric Benson. Green-Ellis spent four seasons with New England, carrying 181 times for 667 yards in 2011 with 11 touchdowns. Various reports had him agreeing to a three-year deal. The Bengals are expected to...

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis signed a three-year deal on Thursday, giving the Cincinnati Bengals another option out of the backfield. Green-Ellis replaces Cedric Benson, a free agent after leading the Bengals in rushing each of the last four seasons. Cincinnati also has Bernard Scott and Brian Leonard in the backfield. The Bengals also might take a runner...

Bengals Cheerleaders' Locker Room Reportedly Divided By Breast Implants

In most cases, there can be unrest in locker rooms due to the lack of team chemistry. However, in the case of the Cincinnati Bengals cheerleaders, the "Ben-Gals," theirs is divided because some of the girls have breast implants. Laura Vikmanis, 43, is the oldest cheerleader on the squad. She recently told the Cincinnati Enquirer that "the most prominent division on...

Bengals sign BenJarvus Green-Ellis to three-year deal

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cincinnati Bengals have signed free agent running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis to a three-year deal.  We don’t know the specific numbers of the deal at this time. Now that the Bengals have moved on from Cedric Benson, Green-Ellis will give them a nice veteran presence in their back field. Green-Ellis carried the ball 181 times for 667 yards...

Leon Hall making progress in Achilles recovery

With there being plenty of concerns about the state of the Bengals' secondary, there has been a ray of hope the past couple weeks in the comeback of Leon Hall. Four months after tearing his Achilles in a Week 10 loss to the Steelers, Hall is doing running and backpedaling as he has still targeted a return for the start of training camp. "In six weeks I made a lot of inroads...

Crocker happy to see 'dirty' Ward retire

Cincinnati Bengals safety Chris Crocker suggested he and several other players were happy to see the back of Hines Ward after the decorated former Steelers wideout announced his retirement. A tearful Ward called time on his career Tuesday following his release by Pittsburgh after 14 seasons. He departs as franchise leader with 1,000 catches -- which ranks eighth on the NFL'...

Bengals Finally Get Going

Over the weekend, my frustration was beginning to mount as many teams made free agent moves while the Bengals sat idle. Well, the Bengals’ front office have finally found first gear and have begun to pile a few free agents into Mike Brown’s mighty Ford Fiesta. I wouldn’t call free agency a big win as [...]

Green-Ellis Bound For Cincy?

The Bengals are reportedly finalizing a deal for running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Fantasy Spin: The Patriots were interested in re-signing Green-Ellis, but apparently is getting a better deal with Cincinnat - but a boost in carries is not guaranteed if Cedric Benson departs, as the Bengals could still add a promising running back early in Aprils Draft, such as David Wilson. And...

Bengals safety Chris Crocker blasts Hines Ward for trying to end people’s careers

On Tuesday, Hines Ward announced his retirement with an emotional speech during which he pronounced himself a Steeler for life. To many, Ward epitomizes the way the wide receiver position should be played. He did more than just catch 1,000 passes, reel in 85 touchdowns and win two Super Bowls during his 14-year career in Pittsburgh. Ward also played the game with the toughness of...

The Pac is Back!

After a slow first few days of free agency, the Bengal have suddenly been extremely busy.  After adding OG Travelle Wharton, CB Jason Allen, re-signing S Reggie Nelson, and getting the “lawfirm” BenJarvus Green-Ellis, word came tonight that they have brought back CB Adam Jones. The Enquirer’s Joe Reedy Tweeted the following message about two [...]
