Found December 06, 2011 on NBC Connecticut:
You couldn't swing a dead cat this summer without hitting someone telling you that it was imperative that Mark Sanchez showed marked improvement as a quarterback this season. Because of that we thought we'd check in weekly to see how the Sanchize is progressing toward that goal. See how the last line of of that introduction references Mark Sanchez progressing? It might be time to change that to something that does a better job of recognizing that Sanchez isn't turning into a different quarterback during the 2011 season. He's got better stats, but the eye test reveals a pretty similar player to the one that we've watched since he arrived in town from USC. Sunday's win over the Redskins was a perfect example of what has become the familiar Sanchez script. Some nice moments sprinkled across 45 minutes or more of mediocrity. This game was even more familiar because the Jets did so much to work around Sanchez. They dusted off the Wildcat, they pounded Shonn Green...

Sanchez leads another rally, keeping Green in playoff hunt

LANDOVER, Md. — It may be time for Mark Sanchez to trade in his No. 6 jersey and helmet for a cape and top hat. The Jets quarterback performed some more fourth-quarter magic to lift his team to a 34-19 comeback victory over the Redskins at FedEx Field yesterday. For the...

New York Jets: Sanchez Apologist Time

I had originally thought that the two biggest defenders and apologists for Mark Sanchez out there were myself and Rob Celletti, with Trent Dilfer not too far behind. However, I have been intrigued by a new Twitter account @SanchezDEFENDER, which is dedicated specifically to defending the “most unfairly criticized quarterback in the NFL.” Check out a few of these tidbits - ...

Weekk 13 Fantasy Football Recap: Jets vs. Redskins

New York Jets – 34, Washington Redskins – 19 Even in a win the Jets look like they won despite Mark Sanchez (166 total yards, 1 TD), not because of him.  Sanchez threw 32 passes but only had 165 passing yards on the day, which he salvaged with a second half touchdown.  Rex Grossman (221 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT) looked bad against the intense Jets pressure, barely completing 40...

DeAngelo Hall Pulled An Albert Hayneworth Against The Jets

Leading up to yesterday’s Jets-Redskins game DeAngelo Hall called Mark Sanchez a “middle-of-the-pack” quarterback. DeAngelo should know, given the signal callers he has shared a roster with in Washington. What Hall didn’t comment on, however, was Sanchez’ fearsome blocking ability, which was on display during Shonn Green’s fourth-quarter TD run. Click the image to watch...

More Fourth Quarter Fireworks In Jets Victory

Would you rather watch a snuff film or watch Mark Sanchez run the Jets offense?  For most of Sunday, the question wasn't a particularly ridiculous one. The Jets offense alternated between committing stupid penalties, taking useless timeouts, missing open receivers and running a limp Wildcat before Sanchez finally connected with Santonio Holmes for a 30-yard touchdown with just...
