Football Extra Points:
The New York Jets are the only team in the NFL not to score a touchdown this preseason. There are several reasons why and the Jets are full of excuses. It was the right tackles fault, new coordinator, injuries, you name it they have an excuse for it.
The bottom line is this, the Jets do not have any talent on offense.
Top three Jets issues on Offense.
#1 - The Jets cannot run the ball. You can blame the offensive line, or just a lack of real talent at running back. The bottom line here is that they cannot establish the run like Rex Ryan would like.
#2 - The Jets have no Wide Receivers. Santonio Holmes is not an elite WR. He would like to think he is but that's not reality. The rookie Hill out of GT is a project, he played in an option attack in college and didn't have to catch many balls.
#3 - Mark Sanchez isn't an elite QB. With a weak OLine, no RB and no WR, not many QB would look good. When you put a below average QB in the mix, the team is not going to move the ball.
The Jets need to face facts and run a college spread offense. Their best option is to play Tebow at QB and put McKnight and Greene in the backfield. Hill knows how to block for a running QB.
Tebow can run that type of offense and Coach Ryan would like to have a power running team that does not turn the ball over.
At the end of the day, Rex Ryan is probably in his last season unless the Jets make a deep run in the playoffs. The Jets are the second best team in New York and may be the third best team in their division. They have a lot of issues on offense and Tebow is their best option.

Tim Tebow of the New York Jets greets a fan who was invited by his foundation at a preseason game against the Carolina Panthers at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey — Once again the Jets couldn’t find a way to score a touchdown, and lost to the Panthers 17-12. This team might implode before the season even begins. Good arm or not, Tebow...
Jebus wants this mic to be liveMy friend and occasional FTT writer Tracer Bullet posted about the NFL Network's Tim Tebow documentary, with the pretty by-the-book reaction of how irritating this whole thing is. My reaction was as follows:Like all men having to wear hats at all times did for us, the Tebow Phenomenon is going to comfort future generations that they are much, much...
As the New York Jets try to find a solution to its offensive woes, backup quarterback Tim Tebow is confident Gang Green can sort out these issues in time for the regular season.
The NFL Network has unveiled its schedule of subjects for the first two months of its A Football Life series. Jets back-up quarterback Tim Tebow will be the first subject when the new season debuts on September 12th at 8:00p.m. ET. Here is the list of subjects through the end of October: September 12 – Tim
Tim Tebow's intangibles won't be found in the box score. Find out why New York's Wildcat quarterback isn't concerned about his low completion percentage, but intent on leading the Jets into the end zone.

I don't know why or when "reporter getting pummeled in the middle of a hurricane" became a thing, but Jim Cantore is the Joe Montana of the craft. As he stands in the streets of New Orleans with Hurricane Isaac coming through, Cantore takes a moment to drop to one knee and say, "for whatever it's worth, I hope I'm making Tebow proud."
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- While Cam Newton says he's a big Tim Tebow fan, he downplayed the reunion on Sunday night with his former college teammate.
Newton said his focus this week isn't on renewing old friendships but rather on continuing to build momentum on offense when the Panthers (No. 20 in the AP Pro32) visit the New York Jets in what'll certainly be his last significant...
The New York Jets are still searching for the end zone.
Mark Sanchez can't get them there, and neither can Tim Tebow.
After three preseason games, the Jets' offensive ineptitude has become a punch line - especially since they're the first team in 35 years to go this long without a touchdown. Sure, it's still only the preseason and the Jets insist they're not...
Ongoing and increasingly fervent debate of playboy vs. altar boy, Sanchize vs. Tebowmania in New York feels almost too perfect to be accidental.
Actually, screenshots of N.Y. Jets quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow answering somber versions of what basically boiled down to "about this inevitable QB controversy . . . " during halftime of Sunday Night Football felt...
There is never a dull moment with the New York Jets, right? I know, you are so over the Jets with all their coverage from ESPN. Probably tired of us bringing them up as well, right? Tough. The latest news about the team that has yet to score a touchdown in the preseason is that [...]
Most people feel as though NFL preseason games mean nothing, and Jets fans are hoping that is the case with the way their team has performed thus far. Through three preseason games, New York has scored exactly zero offensive touchdowns. They rank last in the league in total offense and have scored 21 total points. Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow and company are averaging just over 200 yards...
After mourning a Tim Tebow comeback attempt fallen short in the preseason, it's safe to say that no one values their kickers right now more than Rex Ryan and the anemic New York Jets.Except Norv Turner and the San Diego Chargers. On Friday night, Nick Novak nailed a 45-yard game-winning field goal as time expired, notching the undefeated Bolts a 12-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings...
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Mark Sanchez looked pretty good for nearly three quarters. He just couldn't get the New York Jets into the end zone -- again.
Tim Tebow had the play of the game, but also couldn't get that elusive preseason touchdown for the Jets.
Tebow got the fans fired up with a dazzling 20-yard run in the fourth quarter, but threw an interception three...
Daily Caller reports: On Thursday night, the Republican convention schedule has a mystery hole just before Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Mitt Romney’s speeches. The space is scheduled for “remarks” but simply lists “To be Announced” where the name of the speaker should be.
Among the “top 5” possibilities the article lists to fill the spot: Colin Powell, Nancy Regan...
Catch any of the Jets-Panthers game last night? Jets looked good right? This time is becoming more and more of a laughing stock with every passing week. Rex Ryan and Tony Sparano keep telling fans that things are fine, that they’re waiting until the regular season to “unleash” their offense. The media is quickly becoming very critical and so are fans. They’re sick of Tebow...
