Chris Ogbonnaya, the newest addition to the Cleveland Browns helped his quarterback Colt McCoy and the Cleveland Browns move the football today. Ogbonnaya has only been in the Browns camp for four days. Yet he is no stranger to helping out Colt McCoy. Chris Ogbonnaya played with McCoy in Texas and McCoy felt comfortable enough to go to Chris Ogbonnaya a number of times today. Ogbonnaya caught 5 passes for 43 yards and added another 15 yards on 3 rushes.
Just think if Chris Ogbonnaya gets use to the Browns offense. Could this no name guy help the Browns to become a more consistent football team on the offensive side of the football? In my humble opinion I think it give McCoy a level of comfort he hasn’t had in his pro career. It takes time to get use to the timing and the speed of an NFL football game. If getting someone on the rooster McCoy feels comfortable with helps, I am all for it. I hope Chris Ogbonnaya can continue to bring this level of comfort to McCoy.

One day after his offense produced just six points, Browns coach Pat Shurmur was careful not to criticize Colt McCoy.

Browns overcome Seahawks 6-3 in a defensive slugfest
Much of my pregame blog centered around my belief that the Seahawk defense could shut down Colt McCoy and the Brown offense. Shut down the Browns they did, as the Seahawks held Browns starting running back Montario Hardesty to just 2.9 yards per carry over 33 attempts, and frustrated Colt McCoy all game long. The Browns mustered just six points despite having the ball for nearly...

Shurmur: “I Think Colt’s Improving”
Despite a quarterback rating of 59.0, several errant passes – one which was intercepted – and never taking a snap within the red zone, Browns quarterback Colt McCoy continues to have the support of his head coach in Pat Shurmur. In Monday’s press conference, freshly removed from a barn-burning 6-3 win over the Seattle Seahawks, Shurmur stated that he continues to see good...
