Midwest Sports Fans:
As we head into the weekend of Divisional round play in the NFL, most fans and pundits are focusing their attention, and rightly so, on the four matchups that will take place this Saturday and Sunday. At the same time, there is an awful lot of focus on the coaching merry-go-round; determining who is to blame for the knee injury suffered by Redskins’ quarterback RGIII; and which teams might be looking to trade for Mike Vick, Alex Smith, and Tim Tebow. That, of course, leads me to make the following blanket statement about a topic entirely apart from this list: Aaron Rodgers will not repeat as the National Football League’s Most Valuable Player, but he probably should. Conventional thinking on the 2012 NFL MVP has it as a two-person race, with the same pair running neck and neck for Comeback Player of the Year as well. Stats Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and Vikings running back Adrian Peterson are the odds-on favorites to finish one-two in the MVP balloting, and both have had t...

The anxiety-filled green room and draft day seem so long ago now to Aaron Rodgers.
Still, on this weekend, any lingering feelings of frustration about how far he dropped will be directed right at the team that passed him up with the No. 1 pick nearly eight years ago.
Rodgers brings the high-scoring Green Bay Packers (12-5) to Candlestick Park on Saturday to face No. 2 seed San...
There is no shortage of hype surrounding Saturday Night's NFC Divisional playoff game at Candlestick between the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers. The breakdowns and the analysis of this game seems never ending. Yet the only analysis you need is this - if the Packers are to escape with a win, it will be because Aaron Rodgers is special.
Period. End of discussion...

Most of the footage in the feature has never been seen by the general public. The complete story will air at 10 a.m. MT on the league’s network.

In the latest edition of “Football Nation Today,” Alex talks about the latest news around the world of the NFL:1st Down: Alex briefly talks about the top storylines from last weekend’s wild card games, including how shocked he is that so many national football pundits are letting Mike Shanahan off the hook for his handling of Robert Griffin III last Sunday. Shanahan was negligent...
The 2012 NFL season is now down to just 8 remaining teams, all whom are vying for a spot in their conference’s championship game. But for that to happen they must beat their opponent in the NFL Divisional Round this Saturday and Sunday.
Aaron Rodgers has never played a meaningful NFL game in front of his hometown crowd in San Francisco, Calif. — he did make an appearance in a 2008 preseason game. So, Saturday night will mark a first for Rodgers inside Candlestick Park, but as for the 49ers he already has some history.
Earlier this season, way back in Week 1 actually, Rodgers watched as the Niners rolled into Green...
Sometime after the season is over, Peyton Manning will sit down with Ray Lewis and congratulate him on a job well done.
During Lewis' 17-year career, he redefined his position and cemented himself as one of the most fearsome players in the game.
What Manning hopes to avoid is congratulating Lewis on winning a second Super Bowl.
In what could be the last game for Baltimore...
*Are the Broncos and Patriots locks to win at home and square off against one another in the AFC Championship Game or will the Ravens or Texans spoil their party?*Can the 49ers stop (or at least slow down) Aaron Rodgers and advance in a matchup of the NFC's two best teams?*Will the Falcons lose their first playoff game for the third season in a row?

MVP quarterbacks are not.
Green Bay's offensive line has had its hands full this season as it has tried, often unsuccessfully, to keep Aaron Rodgers from looking like a tackling dummy, and it doesn't figure to get any easier in Saturday night&...
Valyncia Jennings is the sister of Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings, an Aaron Rodgers hater, and down right rude on twitter.
Could she be able to tell the future also. During her twitter rant in which she bashed Aaron Rodgers, and called him overrated, she also hinted at Jennings taking his talents to South Beach.
Does she know something we don’t, did she and her brother...
