The NFL season started Wednesday evening with the Dallas Cowboys going to New York and coming away with a victory over the New York Giants. Besides the games finally kicking off on television the other sign that the new season has begun is the television advertisements featuring NFL players being broadcast nightly.

The new wave of television advertisements hit the air before the first ball was kicked off. The Green Bay Packers have their share of players get television time this year, just like last year. Aaron Rodgers will be seen in advertisements for Pizza Hut this year after doing his double check insurance ads for State Farm last season. Wide Receiver Greg Jennings has on the air presently television spots for Old Spice, in a suit not his Green Bay Packer uniform.

The Green Bay Packer who just sign with Gillette to do television advertising for their Fusion ProGlide razor is Linebacker Clay Matthews. Clay Matthews is coming off an outstanding year on defense for the Green Bay Packers and the Gillette ads follow up on the ones from last season. Last year Clay Matthews was seen in television advertisements ranging from an adult diaper to his State Farm spots.

As the Green Bay Packers finalize their game plan for Sunday late afternoon kick off against the San Francisco 49ers, it will be fun to watch how many more television advertisements will be aired featuring Green Bay Packer Players.
