Forget about the “Carp” that got thrown back in, the Miami Dolphins other “fish” received the NFL’s AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors after kicking three field goals including a career long 53 and the game winning 44 yarder last weekend in Green Bay.
Dan Carpenter was a member of the NFL’s Pro-Bowl roster last season and thus far is 8 of 10 on his attempts. The honor comes only two weeks after the firing of ST coach John Bonamego. Not to say there was any connection between the two but it’s a bright light on a unit that has been in the dark all season.
