Football Extra Points:
The Patriots know the Peyton Manning offense better than some Broncos. Manning is still trying to get his new team up to speed on his offense, but they are still struggling. I expect Manning to get things on track but this is a tall order. The Pats defense knows what to expect with Manning and will be looking for all of his calls at the line.
After a solid week 4, I'm sitting 37-26 headed into week 5. Let's see how I do.
Miami at Cincinnati - The Dolphins are developing Tennehill and making some plays, but they are not going anywhere this season. Dalton and Green are continuing to grow and I like with BGE is doing. The Bengals continue to roll and win at home.
Green Bay at Indianapolis - This will be a great game between two outstanding QB's, in about 3 years. The Packers need to get things straight on both sides of the ball and this is a good game to get going. Luck is showing flashes of what everyone thought he could be. The Colts are still...

Aaron Hernandez back at practice, to return against Seattle?
Albert Breer reports that looks like the target.
Pregame work for NE-DEN — Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez is a virtual certainty to miss the Bronco game, I’m told, but could be back for Wk 6.

And more good news is that Hernando was back at practice today. Report from Jeff...
Since his return to football, Peyton Manning has played four games, but on Sunday afternoon, he'll renew his rivalry with the New England Patriots, and is there anyone more qualified than Bill Belichick to game plan against him?
This will be the 13th meeting between the two, and if anyone will know if Manning still has it, it will be Belichick. The signs will come early - if...

With veteran safety Steve Gregory (hip) absent at practice for 3d day in a row, rookie Tavon Wilson could be primed to earn 1st career start— Mike Reiss (@MikeReiss) October 5, 2012So, it looks like the hip troll has struck the Patriots again after previously hitting Mankins and Gronkowski. However, this time I think it is going to be a blessing in disguise for this team. I have...

Chandler Jones never seems satisfied.
The New England Patriots rookie defensive end made an immediate impact in his first professional game four weeks ago, recording five tackles and a strip-sack that was recovered for a touchdown. Not enough.
The NFL announced Thursday that defensive end Chandler Jones was named defensive rookie for the month of September. Jones started every game this season and recorded 17 tackles, three sacks, and two forced fumbles. The rookie was selected 21st overall in this past draft and shows to be a promising part of the Patriots' defense.
