Found February 07, 2012 on The Rap Sheet:
The Patriots created some major waves on the night before their Super Bowl XLVI loss to the Giants. They released WR Tiquan Underwood, for reasons that were not disciplinary. The word was that they needed defensive line depth, and they promoted DE Alex Silvestro to great public outcry. Now, I am told, Underwood will be back. That was what the thought process was when he was released, and now it’s reality. The team will announce some futures contracts for 2012 later today, and Underwood will be on it. Underwood, who did not contribute much, became a sympathetic figure with the release. He handled things with class, saying he understood and that he’d use it as motivation. Nice to see it all work out for him… but it still sucks about the Super Bowl.
