The Patriots landing free agent WR Brandon Lloyd was as much of a foregone conclusion as that there would be dirt on the ground today.

Lloyd has found a way to play for OC Josh McDaniels for three different teams in as many years. Maybe they are on the same bowling team or something; who knows?

In all sincerity, Lloyd finally began to play up to his potential in Denver after working with Daniels so that comfort zone is important to him.

So now, the Patriots have yet another weapon to play within their aerial attack. Lloyd is just what they needed.

He can make both the deep over the shoulder and the circus catches. Wes Welker can continue to be the ultimate mismatch and of course you have the two tight ends Ron Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez.

This may leave veteran Deion Branch as the odd man out, but that’s another topic for another day.

Pros and cons of Steelers interest in Mike Tolbert

The Steelers have interest in free agent running back Mike Tolbert but it's unclear how much for certain at this point. Nothing is set in stone for sure but it's a possibility nonetheless to explore amidst all the constant rehashing of old news that everyone seems enamored with these days. Talks broke down between Tolbert and the Chargers on Thursday night and he is...

Free-agent RB Bush to meet with Bengals Monday

Free-agent running back Michael Bush is scheduled to meet with the Cincinnati Bengals Monday.Bush, who had a breakout season with the Oakland Raiders thanks to injuries to fellow running back Darren McFadden, is among a number of players on the Bengals’ list, including running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis.Bush rushed for 977 yards, caught 37 passes for 418 receiving yards and scored...

Seattle Seahawks to bring in RB Michael Bush on Tuesday

On Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks signed free agent QB Matt Flynn to a deal, but it appears that they are not through in free agency yet. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Seahawks are going to bring in free agent RB Michael Bush on Tuesday for an interview. This is somewhat of a surprising move. The Seahawks just gave RB Marshawn Lynch a four-year contract extension...

Could Michael Bush come back to Raiders?

2012 free agency is now approaching a week old and Michael Bush's interest on the market has been tepid, at best.  It was stated that he was going to visit the Bears and the Bengals but neither has signed him at this time. One theory, per PFT, is that the new rookie wage scale makes veterans RBs less valuable but I'm not sure that I agree with that logic.  While the new...

Report: Panthers come to terms with RB Tolbert

The Carolina Panthers and running back Mike Tolbert came to terms on a four-year deal, a league source told's Jason La Canfora on Monday. Financial terms were not disclosed. Tolbert is coming off two productive seasons with the San Diego Chargers. After he had 735 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2010, the 26-year-old Tolbert followed that up with eight touchdowns rushing...

Peyton Manning, Broncos to Visit Tom Brady's Patriots in 2012

While the rivalry between the Patriots and Colts has gone cold, quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will rekindle their battle in 2012. Manning will sign with the Broncos on Monday, according to an array of reports, which means he'll be visiting Gillette Stadium next season. The NFL will release its schedule at some point in late April, but the Patriots are already slated...

Jonathan Stewart or DeAngelo Williams could be traded after Mike Tolbert signing

The Panthers announced the signing of Mike Tolbert Monday, sparking speculation that they may trade one of their running backs. Carolina already has DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, and Mike Goodson under contract at the position. Stewart will be a free agent after the season. Williams signed a five-year contract last July and would likely have less value on the trade market...

Patriots Creating An Army Of Little People?

The Patriots are collecting undersized wide receivers to the extent that quarterback Tom Brady might soon be able to claim a "Smurfs" sequel.

Panthers sign Mike Tolbert

According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, the Carolina Panthers have signed running back Mike Tolbert to a four-year deal. With the addition of Tolbert, I wouldn’t be surprised if Jonathan Stewart ends up being traded, since he’s going into the final year of his current contract. Tolbert carried the ball 121 times for 490 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2011.
