The Patriots franchise tagged receiver Wes Welker is once again going to be a free agent this offseason. At the beginning of this season you saw a plan be put into place to build a new branch to their offense and prove a point that the Patriots don’t need Welker to be effective. This plan involved Julian Edelman getting more reps with the starting offense while Welker warmed the bench. Throughout the season, however you have seen the offense shift back to what works and that is Tom Brady to Wes Welker to move the sticks. Welker recorded yet another 100+ catch season with over 1,000 yards and is the first guy in history to do it 5 times breaking his tie with Jerry Rice and Marvin Harrison; In short, Wes Welker isn’t going anywhere. The plan had a good basis because if you can get the same production from a younger player at a cheaper price then you definitely want to pursue that, but throughout Edelman’s short career he has never played an entire season. Edelman like Gronkowski i...

Boston Mayor Refers To Patriots Wilfork And Gronk As “Wilcock” and “Gonk”

Boston Mayor Tom Menino has the opportunity to talk trash with a lot of Mayors because of the Success of the New England Patriots. Menino for all his education, randomly butchers their names though.  The man they call “Mumbles,” has referred to Wes Welker as Wes Weckler before. No matter how hard Boston Mayor Tom Menino tries, he simply will never be able to pronounce the names of all of his city’s superstar athletes. Tom Brady Has ‘No Idea’ Why He Does Fashion Shoots, Much Prefers to Be Patriots’ Quarterback

FOXBORO, Mass. — Tom Brady is something of an icon, even beyond the world of sports. The problem with that icon status, however, is that it isn’t always such a good thing. During his weekly press conference leading up to Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, Brady fielded questions from the media on a variety of topics, including that of his off-field life. Brady is known for his...

Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots: AFC Conference Championship

I’ve gone back and forth on this one. On one hand, some of the reasons I didn’t like the Patriots last week are still true. They’re still a terrible post-season spread team, going 2-7 ATS in their last 9 post-season games and 4-8 ATS all-time as favorites of more than 4 in the post-season. Last year, they were favored by a similar amount in a similar situation here against...

The Baltimore Ravens have what they wanted - another shot at the New England Patriots.
