Despite playing in last Sunday’s Pro Bowl, veteran center Scott Wells continues to fly well under the radar. While the majority of fans and countless members of the local media are fixated on the future of an outspoken and underachieving tight end, few people seem to be all that concerned about the future of arguably the team’s second-best player in 2011.
Wells, like Jermichael Finley, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in a little over a month. But unless you’re a serious fan, you might not have been aware of that until just now.
