New England Patriots
Green Bay Packers
Every time someone in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ organization does something wrong outside of football, the inevitable comparison to their all-pro quarterback Ben Roethlisberger comes up and ignites a flurry of positive and negative reaction in the social media world.
Like the complete and total idiot I am, I always get sucked into it even though I tell myself to “just let it go.” The reason I can’t let it go is simple. I want to educate people and that’s only natural because that’s what I do for a living, not that this writing gig doesn’t pay the bills (rolls over in laughter).
Last week, Steelers’ Rookie running back Chris Rainey was arrested in Florida for what authorities said was an assault of his girlfriend over a cell phone. Within a couple of hours, the Steelers decided to part ways with Rainey because this wasn’t his first rodeo involving violence against women. He had an initial charge against him while attending Florida in which he threatened a woman.
Within minutes, the cr...

While four teams remain in the NFL Playoffs, I’m already interested in where the Pittsburgh Steelers are going in terms of the 2013 season. Last night, my partner-in-crime and I were very excited to be joined by Shane Hallam of www.draftcountdown.com to help us breakdown some possible directions the Steelers might go during the NFL Draft in April. Shane did an excellent job of...
Some new quotes have emerged from the year-end talk that Pittsburgh Steelers team president Art Rooney II had with members of the Pittsburgh media last week concerning injuries suffered this past season and training.
“I do think it’s something that comes in cycles,” said Rooney about injuries, per the Steelers official website. “I remember sitting there a few years ago and...
Several teams are now just a few weeks into their offseason and there are still a few head-coaching spots left to be filled in addition. One of the candidates for the few remaining open jobs around the league is Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, who of course was the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers prior to being let go around this time last...
According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers will likely let Max Starks and Ramon Foster to leave in free agency and release Willie Colon.
The Steelers believe they’re already have the players to replace Starks, Foster and Colon.
They drafted Kelvin Beachum — their fourth and final pick in the seventh round last year — to play guard, even though he...
Have we overrated Ben Roethlisberger just a bit? In 9 seasons as a starter, he’s had a top-3 scoring defense on his side 6 times. In the 3 years he hasn’t, he’s missed the playoffs, including this year. They weren’t bad or anything this year, allowing 19.6 points per game, 6th in the NFL, including the fewest yards of any team in the NFL. The offense was more of the problem...
Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette believes the Steelers are prepared to make dramatic changes to their offensive line in the coming months.
Bouchette expects Max Stark and Ramon Foster to leave during free agency, with Willie Colon being released outright.
Colon ended the season on IR after suffering another knee injury. This is the third season in a row that Colon...
This is an unpopular opinion that might cost me my seat at the cool-kids table among Pittsburgh Steelers fans.
I want the Ravens to beat the Patriots Sunday.
The Ravens and Patriots meet in the AFC Championship Game for the second year in a row. It’s the first time the same teams have met in the AFC title game for two straight seasons since the Browns and Broncos in 1986 and 1987...
There is still no word as to who the Arizona Cardinals will decide on to be their next head coach, but it is looking more and more likely that it won't be Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley, who reportedly interviewed with his former employer last week.
Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports on Monday, that according to his sources, Haley gave...
As NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, would say, "With the 17th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select....."We can't exactly speculate who the Steelers will take in the Draft because it's so early, but what we can do is give some player profiles for the prospects we believe the team will look for at pick 17.If you read my previous article, "...
On Monday, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reported that a source had told him that Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley told Arizona Cardinals team president Michael Bidwell what he wanted and what he needed to become their new head coach. And that Haley set the asking price very high as he really doesn't want to leave Pittsburgh unless it is really...
