But then we all learned about a rule from head referre Walt Coleman following a lengthy instant replay that nobody had ever heard of, except the NFL officials. The Tuck Rule. The Patriots would keep the ball, and force overtime where an Adam Vinatieri field goal would propel the Patriots in the AFC Title Game and eventually to a Super Bowl title. There was a video distributed this week around the NFL stating that the Competition Committee will review the notorious rule, and it was cited that a recent play with Andrew Luck sparked it “This is going to be part of a bigger discussion in the offseason of QB pass/fumbles and the tuck rule with [...]

Patriots Took Bye Week to Fix Themselves Before Moving on to Opponent (Video)

The bye week can be a complicated one for NFL teams. With no opponent to prepare for, practice becomes much different. For the Patriots this week, they worked on themselves. And despite a 12-4 record, they apparently had a lot to work on. Tom Brady told the media on Thursday the team was given a packet on what they had to do better. Wide receiver Deion Branch also mentioned that...

New England Patriots: Wild Card Round Power Rankings (#1)

It’s 2006 again. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning appear to be on a crash course. Both quarterbacked arguably the best teams in the league (the Broncos and Patriots ranked 2nd and 3rd in the NFL in DVOA, but I don’t trust #1 Seattle on the road). Both are MVP candidates. Peyton Manning is currently viewed as the favorite, but I think that’s both undeserved and beneficial to the...

Don’t Be Shocked by Anything that Happens During the Playoffs

Ladies and Gentlemen, as another exciting playoff tournament starts this weekend in the National Football League don’t be shocked by any of the results.   Don’t be shocked during the playoffs if your team gets blown out at home, on the road, wins a close one or blows out a number one seed.   You can get out your thesaurus and be disappointed, discouraged, elated, or any of...

How the AFC Shipped Up and Shaped Out

I don’t care if that’s the worst title for an article I’ve ever written. Not my chair, not my problem. The AFC Playoff picture was just about done. Except it was more of a mosaic on several different tiles and the tiles had yet to be place next to one another. Basically, the paintings on said tiles were complete but the artist was like, “Nah, chill. I’m finna let these...
