Atlanta Falcons
The Georgia Dome, current home of the SEC champiojship game.
The SEC championship game could be closer to getting a new home in Atlanta. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority approved anon-binding framework agreement that would lead to a new retractable roof stadium in the ATL to serve as the home for the Atlanta Falcons, as well as events like the SEC championship game and the Chick-fil-A bowl. The cost of the new building? Around one billion dollars.
Key business terms approved by the board include:
The GWCCA, a state agency, would own the stadium.
The Falcons would operate the stadium under a 30-year license agreement, with options to renew for an additional 15 years.
A portion of the construction cost would be funded by revenue from
the hotel-motel tax in the city of Atlanta and Fulton County; that
portion has been estimated at around $300 million. The rest, including
any cost overruns, would be the Falcons’ responsibility, although that

Watch: Matt Bryant to Panthers: “You’ll be watching us in January!”
Ahh, classic NFL trash talk. Remember when the Falcons squeaked past the Carolina Panthers in a 30-28 week four showdown and Falcons QB Matt Ryan exclaimed “Get the f*** off our field!“?
Yesterday it was time for the Panthers to tell the Falcons the same thing after they beat up on the Falcons and sent them away with a 30-20 loss.

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers: Week 14 NFL Pick
Atlanta Falcons (11-1) at Carolina Panthers (3-9)
I really like using trends to pick NFL games. Not all games have the same weight on a team’s schedule and games don’t always mean the same thing for the teams playing it. This is why upsets happen. However, there aren’t any really good ones in play here, except this. Teams are 49-37 ATS as home favorites after a loss as road...
