Forget about what Joe Thomas set off with Peyton Hillis this week. The real bulletin board material for the Kansas City Chiefs is right here:
Consecutive wins against severely handicapped or unimaginably horrible football teams have people saying some crazy things about the Browns, but if they can’t pull off the win today as seven-point favorites against the team with the worst record in the league, there’s a better than excellent chance that they’ll finish with the same 4-12 record as last year.
Romeo Crennel, Brian Daboll, Brady Quinn, and Hillis. It could be a real day today at Browns Stadium so hang on tight because here we go. And here’s your Shurmurball open thread for week 14.
BEST OF MAXIM
ESPN Cleveland’s Chris Fedor is reporting that in a team meeting this week, Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel specifically instructed players not to respond to comments made by Browns all-pro Joe Thomas.
Thomas described Chief’s running back Peyton Hillis’ time in Cleveland as “toxic”.
Hours after the meeting, Hillis went to the Kansas City media and fired back at Thomas’...
Rookie Browns receiver Josh Gordon, a.k.a. Gordo, is having one of the best rookie seasons in Browns history with 34 catches, 646 yards, and 5 touchdowns. With four games remaining, Gordo needs to average 89 receiving yards per game to hit the millennium mark. Time after time this year, Gordon has blazed 1 by the defense to haul in a Weeden bomb for a long gain. His big play ability...
Kansas City police have released video from the hours before the Jovan Belcher murder-suicide during which they spoke with him in his car.
Police released the following video of Jovan Belcher’s early Saturday morning stop. This incident happened several hours before Belcher shot his girlfriend Kassandra Perkins at her home and then drove to Arrowhead Stadium and shot himself.
The video was taken just after 3a.m, apparently Belcher had fallen asleep in his car when police went to talk with him. The video is from...
It feels good, haven’t done this since Florida [college]. It’s a different feeling, it definitely feels good. Like I say every week, now we have to get ready for the Redskins. They’re a challenging opponent. Everybody is just feeling it. We are getting used to it and I like it a lot. [...] You know you have the ability to beat the team. It’s just the thing about going out...
The Browns are finally streaking in a positive direction.
Rookie Travis Benjamin's electrifying 93-yard punt return touchdown gave Cleveland momentum and the Browns won their third straight game, 30-7 over the emotionally drained Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Benjamin's game-changing runback helped the Browns (5-8) continue their resurgence under second-year coach Pat Shurmur...
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) Returning to normal for the Kansas City Chiefs is equal parts welcoming and frustrating.
The players, coaches and front-office staff may never truly get over the murder-suicide involving teammate Jovan Belcher, which shook the franchise to its very core last week. But they've now played two games since their world was sent spinning, and getting back to...
Browns running back Trent Richardson's two one-yard touchdown runs Sunday saved an otherwise poor day against the Chiefs. Richardson had 42 rushing yards on 18 carries.Fantasy Spin:It was a typical Richardson line this season. He has only rushed for 3.5 ypc but he's still been a valuable fantasy rusher due to his 10 total touchdowns.
The Kansas City Chiefs have ruled out WR Dwayne Bowe for Week 15′s game against the Raiders.
Reports from last night indicated that Bowe suffered two broken ribs during Sunday’s loss to the Browns, so it’s not really surprising to see him get scratched from Week 15′s game.
The Chiefs already have a hard enough time effectively moving the ball through the air, but they’ll...

NBC Sports reports Kansas City wideout Dwayne Bowe will be placed on injured reserve after breaking his ribs in Sunday's loss to the Browns.Fantasy Spin:He'll finish the season with 59 catches for 801 yards and three touchdowns. With Bowe sidelined we'd expect the Chiefs to rely more on their running game going foward, which means a heavy workload for franchise running...
With just minutes left in a rare blowout win, new owner Jimmy Haslam leaned over the railing of his open-air suite and pumped his fist in celebration.
Down below, Cleveland fans jumped and screamed in delight.
Their team is rolling.
Yep, the Browns, masters of disaster for years, are winning.
On a day when an attempt to block a punt turned into a record return for a touchdown...
CLEVELAND - Travis Benjamin returned a punt 93 on the first play of the second quarter Sunday to put the Cleveland Browns ahead and spark them to a 30-7 victory over the Kansas Chiefs. The victory was the third straight by the Browns, and it is their longest winning streak since they won the last four games in 2009. They are 5-8 and have won one more game than they did last season...
