The St. Louis Rams release Bobby Carpenter

The Rams have released 27-year old linebacker Bobby Carpenter in a surprise move.  Carpenter played in all 4 pre-season games for the Rams in which he had 11 tackles, 1 sack, 2 passes defensed and 1 interception.  Carpenter played in 16 games (2 starts) for the Cowboys last season and he had 46 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 pass defensed.  He came over in the Alex Barron trade which now looks like a HUGE win for the Cowboys.
