Titans Locker:
The Titans are likely going to open up the competition at QB for the 2012 season but that doesn’t change the fact that Matt Hasselbeck turned in a very solid season for the Titans in 2011. Hasselbeck led the Titans to a 9-7 record as they just missed the playoffs. He played in 16 games (all starts) for the Titans last year and he completed 319 of 518 passes (61.6%) for 3,571 yards with 18 TD passes and 14 INTs (82.4 QB Rating). He also carried the ball 20 times for 52 yards (2.6 ypc) last year. Hasselbeck has now played in 186 games (147 starts) in his NFL career so far and he has completed 2,891 of 4,797 passes (60.3%) for 33,150 yards with 194 TD passes and 142 INTs (82.2 QB Rating). He also has carried the ball 326 times for 1,191 yards (3.7 ypc) with 8 TD runs so far in his NFL career. He is now 78-69 (53.1%) as a starting QB during the regular season in his NFL career.

The Tennessee Titans sign four veterans to future/reserve contracts
The Titans have signed four players to future/reserve contracts. Two of the players are defensive and the other two are special teams players. 26-year old DE Keyunta Dawson is the only player of this bunch that played in the NFL this year. He played in 2 games for the Lions in which he made 1 tackle. Dawson has now played in 60 games in his first five years in the NFL and...
Overviewing the Titans' offensive line
Defensive MVP post should be coming tomorrow, unless I don't feel like writing it again today. FO colleague, and former All-Pac-10 offensive tackle, Ben Muth has been writing about the Titans' offensive line all year, and today put up an end of season wrap-up column giving sort of overview/recap takes on each of the Titans' five starting offensive linemen. I'm pretty...
Randy Moss Joins Twitter @DaRealOtisMoss?
Currently his profile pic is just an EGG.
So take it with a grain of salt, but there are whispers that this is indeed Randy Moss (@DaRealOtisMoss).
The question begs why didn’t he take the name @straigthcashhomie?
Titans’ Heads are up and They Are not Discouraged about 9-7 Ending to Their Season
It would be a shame for anyone that follows the Titans to think that this year has been anything but exciting and, actually successful. Yes, it was a huge rollercoaster but Tennessee has overcome a lot in the past years and this years’ 9-7 record defiantly shows their hard work.
Tennessee was not given any credit in the preseason rankings at all. Most television analysts predicted...
More on Jerry Gray Talking Turkey
It occurred to me after I finished it that last night's post on defensive coordinator Jerry Gray talking turkey focused a little bit too much on the tremendous amusement I got out of Gray's media session comments, and didn't do a very good job of putting Gray's comments into a broader perspective. Thus, it's time for that.First, Jerry Gray is learning. As I noted...
TIMING NOT RIGHT FOR MUNCHAK, OTHERWISE ...
If Mike Munchak were still an assistant coach for the Tennessee Titans, soon he would be named Penn State's new head football coach. That's the impression he left with this listener to this morning's Mike & Mike Show on the ESPN Radio Network.
Munchak, an All-American offensive lineman at Penn State, just completed a successful first year (9-7) as the Titans'...

That'll Do, Tarvaris.
"Seahawks? PFFT. Why the hell did you guys sign Tarvaris?" That was what a TSA agent said to me before I boarded my flight west for that Seahawks v Cardinals game last September. Few of Seattle's offseason moves were more derided than the twin decisions to let Matt Hasselbeck walk and replace him with ex-Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson. I'll admit that at that moment...
