It was confirmed late last night and again this morning that Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Plaxico Burress had indeed torn his rotator cuff.
He is scheduled for surgery on Monday and will be out for the season. At the time of his injury, Burress was running at the number four or five wide receiver.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Plaxico Burress suffered a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder during training camp practice and could be gone for the season.
It looks like the Steelers may be down to their No.3 tight end. Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review first broke the news that Matt Spaeth was carted off the practice field.
This means that David Paulson is now the team’s starter, if Spaeth’s injury is of any significance.
