Found July 17, 2012 on Total Titans:
Apropos of yesterday's post where I wondered about the logic of the Titans' decision to make a financial commitment to Craig Stevens, I thought it would be worth taking a look at which players the Titans have made the decision to spend money on in 2012.To try to encompass both accounting and total outlays, I put together a list of the Titans' top ten cap numbers for this year, plus their top ten cash outlays for this year. This isn't a perfect methodology, as a player like Stevens will be on the list this year but off it next year. Jake Locker is like Stevens next year, a player who would've been on last year's version of this list and may be on next year's version, but isn't on this one. I think this methodology suffices for my general purposes, though. If you look at the top ten by cash spending and top ten by cap allocation, unsurprisingly there's a lot of overlap between the two lists. There are, however, three players on each list who aren'...

Analyzing the Titans' re-signings: Craig Stevens

This isn't really the start of the new series, at least not in the same way I've done the past couple series. As we approach the season, though, I'm going to take a more in-depth look at some moves the Titans made earlier in the offseason. I don't plan to write about every move, but will highlight a couple of the ones I find more interesting.Back in January, the Titans...

Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt has already undergone two knee surgeries on his right knee, but it has now been learned that the receiver underwent a third procedure at the end of June. Fixing the run and shoot's protection problems

Last month, Andrew posted a few links on some staple plays from Chris Palmer's run and shoot offense that we'll probably see the Titans using this fall. I noted a couple times, notably in the Browns game recap, when the Titans ran the Switch, another run-and-shoot staple. As Chris Brown of Smart Football, who knows more about the run and shoot than I do and whose new book...

Titans head coach Jeff Fisher cameos in music video (Video)

I'll be honest, I never pegged Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher as someone who would make a cameo in a music video but recently he did. Check out Fisher as this gunslingin' cop in Goodbye June's "Microscope": (Courtesy of Sweater Punch)
