The Denver Broncos have picked up steam at 4-3 after falling only to New England (5-3), Houston (6-1), and Atlanta (7-0) early in the season.  Coming off two convincing victories with a two-game lead in the AFC West race, quarterback Peyton Manning has received much of the credit for Denver’s hot streak. And while Manning has been in the driver’s seat directing the Broncos’ season, three other lesser-credited players have also played a big role this season.  We’ll take a closer look at the respective season’s those three players are having after the jump. 1. Kicker Matt Prater. (Doug Pensinger/Getty Images) Through the first seven weeks of the season, kicker Matt Prater has been perfect on field goal attempts.  In a kicker you look for consistency and reliability: converting every one of your kicks is an easy way to earn a raise. Due to Denver’s suddenly prolific offense scoring touchdowns seemingly at ease, Prater has only gotten the opportunity to kick nine times, gone 9-of-9 on ...

Young teammates upset with Stokley

The Broncos brought in Brandon Stokley to provide veteran leadership, and that's exactly what he did for Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker on Sunday.

Buy low, sell high for week 8 (2012 Fantasy Football)

You all know the drill by now,  I’m going to give you some players you should try to get while their value is still low. I try to also include a player that could be a potential trade option, but most of the time you won’t own that player. If you can’t figure out a player that is in the same “tier”, then never hesitate to post a question(or answer one) in the forums. ...

Ronnie Hillman is gaining confidence in John Fox’s offense for Denver

Ronnie Hillman had the best game of his young career in Denver’s Week 8 rout of the Saints, rushing 14 times for 86 yards. Hillman lost four yards on his lone reception. If Knowshon Moreno wasn’t expendable before, he is now, as Hillman finally looks up-to-speed in Peyton Manning’s dizzyingly-complex offense. It’s true Hillman’s big night came against a run defense that...

Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas dressed up as a replacement referee for Halloween

Relevant! So Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas dressed up as a replacement referee for Halloween, and somehow I’m not the least bit impressed.  The NFL just finished up week 8 and the replacement officials haven’t been seen or heard from since week 3, which makes this costume rather lame.  Now, had he worn the outfit and added a Home Depot apron or something, then maybe Thomas would...

Demaryius Thomas dressed as a replacement ref for Halloween (Picture)

Anyone who pays attention to sports had to know that replacement referee costumes would be popular this Halloween. However, you would have to be pretty bold to be an NFL star and go down that road, but Denver Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas clearly had no problem doing that recently. As you can see from the photo above that Peter Burns shared with us on Twitter, Thomas went with...

Broncos survive scare with Peyton Manning's thumb

The Denver Broncos are relieved Peyton Manning wasn't seriously injured on a hard hit by New Orleans Saints defensive end Martez Wilson. The Broncos are expected to have the NFL look at the play from Sunday night's game in which Manning banged his right thumb on Wilson's helmet just before the crown of that helmet hit the quarterback in the chin. Although no flag was...

Broncos 'Knuckleheads' Demaryius Thomas & Eric Decker Upset Stokley stopped their TD Celebration

Brandon Stokely was brought in to provide veteran leadership in Denver. His Broncos teammates, specifically Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker, are learning that he takes his role seriously. During... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~ http://www.bobsblitz.com

Demaryius Thomas dresses up as a replacement referee for Halloween

Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas has quite a sense of humor.  He decided to dress up like a replacement referee for Halloween. Demaryius Thomas var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script...

Broncos Injury Report: Peyton Manning's Thumb "OK"

The Denver Broncos can ill-afford an injury to Peyton Manning.  And Peyton Manning surely doesn't want to be sidelined again after missing time due to his surgically repaired neck.  Fortunately, his thumb is doing alright after being struck by the helmet of New Orleans Saints defensive end Martez Wilson. According to a report released by the Associated Press, Manning&...

Denver Broncos: Peyton Manning's Team Looking Super Bowl Bound

About half the season is already over in the NFL and now is a good point to sort of reflect on the season. To take a look at some teams that are in good shape, and some that aren't in good shape. Right now, I want to focus on the Denver Broncos and talk about them for a little bit.The Broncos are one of the teams that are looking really good, and should continue to look even better...

NFL Real Talk: Week Nine

Oh Hill yeah!Photo Credit: Jeffrey Beall This goddamn ***** Hurricane Sandy is making things complicated. The ***** has forced me to put in work early on my Week Nine pieces, so excuse us for the lack of introductions. We are just gonna jump right into some Real Talk funk.More after the jump: -In desperate need of RB depth? Look no further than Ronnie Hillman. Willis McGahee’s...

Fantasy spin: no one goes hungry in Denver… enough points to go around

In the days leading up to the week 8 contests I posted an article deriding a fantasy analyst who suggested that a fantasy GM simply could not start Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks at the same time because they both played for the Giants. As it turns out, both players turned in duds but the moral is that the fact that one fantasy owner starts them both, shouldn't matter. Just look...
