TEAMS: Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens
After surprising outcomes for these two teams last week, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cincinnati Bengals both went back to form. With a 34-13 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cincinnati Bengals are back on track to clinch a playoff berth and maybe even contest for the AFC North division title. The Philadelphia Eagles meanwhile showcased Andy Reid, in what may be his last time on national television as the Eagles coach, in a way he and his team have looked most weeks this season, which is to say not good.
BenJarvus Green Ellis had his fourth 100 yard game in their last five contests as well as had a running touchdown. Andy Dalton, who would complete only 13 of 27 passes for 127 yards, passed for a touchdown and ran one in the second half in order for the Bengals to take over the game. A.J. Green would catch 6 passes for 57 yards, including a 5-yard touchdown for the final score of the game.
Philadelphia went back to their inept play after a last-second victory the prior week. The Eagles would turn the ball over five times, with one interception and four fumbles, which includes a 25-yard touchdown return after a fumble. After scoring 13 points in the second quarter to take a 13-10 lead into halftime, the Eagles let the Bengals score the last 24 points of the game.
What had looked like the rare bright spot in the Eagles season, rookie running back Bryce Brown, returned back to earth with an uninspired game. He ran the ball 16 times for 34 yards, and had his obligatory fumble, which would directly result in a touchdown for the Bengals. The Eagles defense has stepped up, getting much more pressure on the quarterback since firing defensive line coach Jim Washburn, making it a more successful firing than when they sent defensive coordinator Juan Castillo packing, which resulted in the floodgates being opened.
The Bengals are not (8-6), with a road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and a home game against the Baltimore Ravens, have a chance to make their own destiny, by qualifying for either of the Wild Card Spots or even the AFC North division title if the dominoes fall right. The Eagles meanwhile have two games left in a season that cannot be finished quickly enough, as they wait for the inevitable “mutual” agreement to depart from one another.

The Law Firm Dismisses The Eagles Defense With Extreme Prejudice
Judge…audience…people of the jury. What we have here today in front of us is a case so vile…so heinous…so uncomfortably dramatized by the writer that we must bring it to light so that others might find a way to ease this poor man’s suffering. BenJarvus Green-Ellis has been a stand-up RB2 for most of the year and his efforts have gone virtually ignored. For every bright...
The Philadelphia Eagles are pinching pennies: Mike Patterson move proves cash is king
Late in November in an apparent cost cutting move the Philadelphia Eagles cut Jason Babin. At the time, while many people that I spoke to called it a blatant cash motivated move by a cheap owner I found plenty of reasons from a football sense to justify it. The recent decision to reduce Mike Patterson's salary after placing him on the non-football illness list is much more difficult...

Who are the NFL’s Top Receivers in 2012?
Jim Racalto
When it comes to valuable positions on a football team, few are as important as the wide receiver. While many consider the quarterback to be the end all and be all of a football squad, he is ultimately only as good as the person he is throwing to. As it pertains to stand out wide outs this past season, few can argue that AJ Green, Calvin Johnson and Brandon Marshall...
