The BST&N team was able to meet Vince Wilfork at last year’s event.

The New England Patriots play their first regular season game on Sunday September 9th in Tennessee. The following day, Patriots captain and linebacker Jerord Mayo will host his third annual bowling tournament to benefit Pitching in for Kids and Boston Medical Center. The event takes place at the pristine Legacy Place in Dedham at the upscale Kings bowling alley.

Jerod Mayo is teaming up with Pitching in for Kids is a nonprofit organization “dedicated to improving the lives of children across New England.” Admirably, Mayo has also included the Boston Medical Center who uniquely provides care for all regardless of financial status.

Last year’s event was heavily attended by over 40 players including Vince Wilfork, Rob Gronkowski, and many more. Many prominent Boston sports media members also made their way down for a night of fun.

The agenda for the evening includes:

  • 6:00 PM – Red carpet, check-in, and hors d’oeuvres
  • 7:15 PM – Bowling tournament
  • 9:05 PM – Auction
  • 9:30 PM – Awards ceremony

Blue Sky Sports & Entertainment, who is putting on the event with Mayo, is allowing local companies and individuals to have a very unique opportunity to sponsor a four-person bowling team.  This opportunity will come with a celebrity teammate(s)! Single person bowler party tickets are also available. Any ticket requests ($75 per) can be sent to Kim Zayotti at kzayotti[at]blueskyse.com or by telephone: 781-421-3025.

The BST&N team was fortunate to cover the event last year and highly recommend this first class event which benefits some really wonderful organizations.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Tom Brady Better Than Joe Montana, 'Might Already Be the Best of All Time,' Says Robert Kraft

Robert Kraft has made it clear: He sees Tom Brady as a fifth son. So with that in mind, take a guess as to where he thinks Brady ranks among the NFL's all-time quarterbacks.
