Although John Beck doesn’t need surgery, the third-string quarterback could miss practice time with an injured throwing shoulder.
The Ravens re-signed undrafted rookie Drew Willy, but it could be a temporary move. Journeyman quarterback Cleo Lemon, who was an undrafted free agent with the Ravens in 2002 and played under offensive coordinator Cam Cameron in Miami two years ago, worked out for the Ravens on Saturday.
After practice, coach John Harbaugh said Beck didn't need surgery but didn't know the "exact details" of the injury.
Willy said he had no idea about Beck’s injured right shoulder, which opened the door for the club to sign the undrafted rookie quarterback. Willy, who was waived by the Ravens on June 18, said he was happy for the opportunity to return to the team that signed him after the draft in April.
