This Ole Fart Thinks: Skins vs 49ers

So, have we finally hit bottom?  This week I think we have and are starting the climb upward.  Now, this might not translate into more wins this year, and I could see us losing every game and still feel we have turned the corner. I think we have because, despite lip service otherwise, we are finally in full re-building mode.  For the better part of the past 2 years, Shanahan has tried to have it both ways.  He has tried to win now without fully committing to rebuilding the roster from the ground up.  Yes, the roster is pretty much all his now, but we have tried to over and over again patch with veterans rather than clear the deck and give full effort to letting the young players develop and prove they belong in the NFL.  You simply can’t do that in preseason and on the practice squad.  You cannot do that being inactive week after week.  Finally, I think it is no longer the case.
