FLORHAM PARK–Victor Cruz said teams no longer fear Darrelle Revis. Hakeem Nicks said he’s just a “decent” cornerback. Revis’ response? “I don’t even know who this guy is…If I want entertainment, I’ll watch reality shows.”
He then added, “It doesn’t matter what I say. It doesn’t matter what other receivers say. You gotta prove it.” As for whether people are no longer scared of him, Revis laughed and said, “I”m not a monster, so why would anybody be scared?”
Muhammad Wilkerson is from a fairly large family, and one of his brothers was a lifelong Giants fan. “Not anymore,” Wilkerson laughed when I asked him. “No more Giants fans in my family.” Wilkerson, who is from nearby Linden, NJ, said he will have a modest 12 people at the game.
This is fun for him after growing up in the area between the two teams, to now be a part of the actual game. Especially given what’s on the line. “It’s for all the marbles,” he said. “Win or go home.”

With the Jets playing the Giants Saturday, and both teams on the border of missing the playoffs, the New York media is in full hype-machine mode. They’re doing everything possible to stir up a controversy. Rex Ryan’s words were twisted earlier this week to make it seem like he was taking a shot at the Giants. Now it’s the words of Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks receiving attention...
It's a fairly straightforward question that is probably asked every week in whichever locker room is getting ready to face the Jets: Is Darrelle Revis the best cornerback in football?
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - Darrelle Revis refused to get into all the trash talk.
Sure, the New York Jets cornerback...
New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis had his opportunity to snap back at the Giants wide receivers who took shots at him from a safe distance, calling him a "decent" cornerback and noting that teams weren't afraid to throw at him anymore.
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -- Darrelle Revis thinks it's funny that Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz says teams no longer fear the New York Jets cornerback.
Jets All-Pro CB Darrelle Revis
Jets CB Darrelle Revis may be headed to his 4th consecutive Pro Bowl, and the owner of his own island, but that has not deterred the Giants’ wide receivers from setting their sights on challenging him.
In Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks the Giants have two receivers with over 1,000 receiving yards in the same season for the first time in their history...
I thought the New York Jets were supposed to be the loudmouth, chest-thumping, attention-seeking team this week. The New York Giants have stolen their thunder.
Not only that, but they've chosen as their target, of all people, all-world cornerback Darrelle Revis. For some reason, Giants wide receivers Victor Cruz, Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham took turns heaping disrespect...
The Post’s Steve Serby sat down with Jets’ Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis, who clearly cannot wait to show trash-talking Giants receivers Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz why he is the best in the business.
Do you still consider yourself the best cornerback in the league?
Yeah. Yeah, I...
So is the myth of the New York Giants being choir boys who would never dare utter a word of trash talk ready to be buried? Since their wide receivers have decided to come after Darrelle Revis, who hasn’t said a peep about them…
“I’m not about to give all their corners credit because I feel like their defensive scheme is what makes them good in man coverage because they have...
There was a lot of jawing back and forth between the Giants wideouts and Jets secondary this week. Some one is backing up their **** talk.
Hey everyone, how’s it going? Caeden here, with a bit of a preview for the up-coming Jets-Giants game. This is a key game for both teams, with the Jets at 8-6 and the Giants at 7-7, each team has play-off hopes riding on this game.
The Giants are actually a pretty good match up for our team, at least defensively. They don’t have an effective tight-end, and they’re centered...
It might not be 1997 but the message is the same…
Escape from New York, or rather New Jersey. Winner keeps hope alive. KEEP HOPE ALIVE! Of course it could come tumbling down on all of us a week later but for now let’s concentrate on who’s going to be sad on Christmas. Lots of bickering this week over who’s whose little brother, what cornerbacks are overrated (ha!) and whose...
