Adversity can be defined in many capacities. It is one of the most telling signs of a person’s character and can be an indicator of who you want in your corner throughout life. Who responds to adversity the best? Vince Lombardi once said: “The real glory is being knocked to your knees and then coming back. That’s real glory. That’s the essence of it.”
Thomas Davis, the weak side linebacker for the Carolina Panthers, could be the poster boy for the word, “adversity.” He’s been knocked down to his knees and in his case, he practically lost a knee.
