PLAYERS: Thomas DeCoud
TEAMS: Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons safety Thomas DeCoud played the “meow” game on ESPN anchor Bram Weinstein during the Friday morning edition of SportsCenter. The “meow” game was made famous by the cult classic SuperTroopers. Check out the scene below. How Weinstein went completely unfazed during the 4 minute phone interview is amazing. What about the delivery on DeCoud? Just phenomenal. I can understand how you can miss some of the subtle “meows,” but what about the big “meow” at the end? Evan’s Hot Seat: Matt Ryan

After 3 weeks of NFL action, there is not a quarterback in football playing the position better than Matt Ryan.  While most of the focus in the early season has been on poor officiating and teams that are underperforming, Matt Ryan has led the Falcons to a 3-0 record and looks poised to join the elite group of quarterbacks in the league.  At 27 years old, with 5 years of experience...

Roddy White Plays Lunch Lady

I wouldn’t eat this if you paid me Juan..   Roddy White volunteered his time this week serving up the kids some good old fashioned cafeteria  grub.  When I went to High School, I couldn’t wait to be a Senior so I could get off campus and eat non-cafeteria food.  Roddy and Julio has alternated weeks for big games and this week could be Roddy’s turn.  I’d start my 10 year...

Atlanta Falcons: Tony Gonzalez Still Dominating Defenses at 36

Atlanta Falcons tight end, Tony Gonzalez, has one of my favorite nicknames of all time, "Gonzo".I don't know if it is somehow tied to the "origin of parts unknown" Muppet character with the curly, odd-shaped nose.Or if the name is derived from the actual word which the Muppet character was named for.The chicken or the egg? Who cares.Gonzo is a fitting nickname...

Week 4 NFL Preview: Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons

Right now, Matt Ryan is head and shoulders above the rest of the NFL in the MVP race. Granted, they’ve only played three games but it seems like he has refocused and started utilizing all of his weapons surrounding him on offense. Cam Newton, on the other hand, has struggled mightily thus far in 2012. With his Panthers off to a 1-2 start and coming off of an embarassing loss at...
