With the Raiders playing division rivals that past month, TFOS has been on a break. But with the Raiders traveling to the re-inflated metrodome to face the deflated Vikings, it is time for another installment. This week I caught up with the Vikings blogger over at Purple Jesus Diaries (not to be confused with the Orange Jesus the Raiders faced two weeks ago) to get his blessing on what the Raiders should expect while visiting the land-o-lakes this Sunday. Here is what he had to say.
1. How big of an impact do you think losing Antoine Winfield will have on the Vikings? And who will replace him in the lineup?Eh, at this point in our season it doesn't matter at all. Our secondary is trashier than Oscar the Grouch. Winfield has missed half the season already with a weird neck injury, and just now went on IR thanks to a clavicle injury suffered against Green Bay. The Vikings brought in Benny Sapp this week, who played two years for us before he was traded to Miami. He'...

It was a minor blip on the radar screen in the hours leading up to Monday night’s Packer-Viking game: Visanthe Shiancoe said in a Facebook posting that Adrian Peterson found a piece of glass in his food while the team ate at Lombardi’s steakhouse in Appleton. Vikings ready to put GB loss in past ASAP
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings weren't going to look back at any of the game film from Monday night's disheartening 45-7 loss at Green Bay.
This might be the rare occasion where a short week is a blessing. The Vikings are trying to move on quickly as they prepare for AFC West-leading Oakland on Sunday.

Notebook: Secondary more than passing concern
The Vikings lost CB Antoine Winfield for the season and likely will be without S Husain Abdullah for a game, leaving the secondary admittedly thin. Plus, both teams Sunday have a big injury report, the Vikings make a large donation, two Vikings lead in positional Pro Bowl balloting, stadium hearings are set and much more in a big Winter Park Wednesday.
Vikings will be missing a few starters
The Vikings’ injury issues mounted after their first post-bye game, and it will be affecting the starting lineup Sunday against the Raiders. Starters on each side of the ball are in doubt, with one on each side already being ruled out. Plus, the statistics that have Leslie Frazier scratching his head and the long odds facing the Vikings.
Vikings re-sign Benny Sapp
The Minnesota Vikings bave signed veteran cornerback Benny Sapp, reuniting with a player traded last year to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for wide receiver Greg Camarillo.
Cut by the Dolphins, Sapp now rejoins the Vikings after cornerback Antoine Winfield was placed on injured reserve.

Raiders' Big Task is to Contain Adrian Peterson
The Raiders go into Minnesota this Sunday with a lead in the AFC West, and they know if they just take care of business every week it’s their division to lose.
