Cutler had season ending surgery after injuring his right thumb in Week 11 last year but says it is all better and is ready to return. According to NFL.com Cutler had this to say

Bears QB Jay Cutler Will Be A Pleasant Surprise To Fantasy Football Owners in 2012.
Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has always been on the cusp of being a great quarterback. Not just in the NFL, but for PPR fantasy football owners as well. He has been a consistent performer throughout his career, yet has never taken his game to the elite level; until now.

Quarterback Jay Cutler says his right thumb is fine and he can't wait to return to lead a significantly upgraded Bears offense.
Cutler says he's recovered from offseason surgery to repair the fractured thumb. He talked both football and diabetes awareness during a Monday appearance at a school promoting screening and treatment among young people.

For some reason, Jay Cutler is concerned about his offensive line this season. I don’t know why that could be; it has been quite an offensive group since he’s been in Chicago. Starting from 2009, the Chicago Bears have given up 110 sacks. That would give any man cold feet and I’m sure Kristen Cavallari can attest. There’s a difference between a running quarterback...

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler made an appearance at a Chicago school and stated how concerned he is about the offensive line going into this coming season.
“You know, the offensive line is definitely going to be a concern and seeing where those guys are going to fit in and seeing what five we go with,” Cutler said when asked...

Bears offensive coordinator Mike Tice just said last week that if they felt like tackle was a position of need they would have addressed it during the draft.
“I think (general manager) Phil (Emery) and (head coach) Lovie (Smith) — with the...
In case you don’t keep up on all things steeplechase, bourbon & Tennessee, you missed out on Jay Cutler and the Iroquois Steeplechase, a 71-year-old tradition for Nashvillians. There was Cutler, on Saturday, with his pregnant Kristin Cavallari, looking quite SEC in his pink button-up and loafers. It was quite a difference from the last time we saw the scraggly Cutler. You might...
Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler completely understands why running back Matt Forte hasn’t shown up for offseason workouts.
Cutler’s optimistic that at the end of the day, Forte will be on the field for their first game of the season.
“Last time I saw him, he said he was lonely. I get it,” Cutler said. “Everyone was gone last year, with the lockout, and...

It’s no secret that the Chicago Bears have had glaring needs on offense from(before acquiring Brandon Marshall) wide receiver to offensive line. But would’ve thought that the star quarterback would be the one to publicly criticize the situation.
“You know, the offensive line is definitely going to be a concern and seeing where those guys are going...
Supply is outpacing demand when it comes to quarterbacks. That's evident in the NFC North, with Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, Jay Cutler and Christian Ponder being building blocks of their franchises. That means a quality quarterback class might be bypassed for the 2013 draft.
